Eldjötnar (fire Jötnar) are the Jötnar of Muspelheim. They have a deep affinity to heat and fire, tolerating temperatures hotter than even the gods and other Utangard can handle. The harsh environment of their home has hardened their personalities as brutal and unrelenting, with little room for weakness. They have a particular hatred of Alfheim, owing to the fact that their high king Surtr is fated to kill the high king Yngvi-Freyr.
