Profile

In the city of Sparta, peculiar characters live in an uneasy peace. Humans and animal-hybrids co-exist together in this world of theirs, however, in Sparta, there always seems to be something destructive going on. Whether it be unexplainable explosions, or mysterious murders, Sparta is a town that is rife with crime that is seemingly without origin or purpose. But still, despite this chaos that runs rampant throughout the town, there are people who wish to do good. Masked heroes, super-groups, good samaritans, all of these people together work to clean up the streets, and make Sparta a safe (or at least, tolerable) place to call home.

Pan Albena just wants to survive. He's not a hero, or a villain, no, he's just a civilian who is trying his best to get by in this crazy city. Under the guardianship of a kind forest mouse, Pan lives his nervous, anxiety-ridden life as well as he possibly can. He grows flowers, he helps Delia get around, he keeps an eye on her and tries to encourage her to avoid shady characters. But, there's only so much he can do! He's a young boy who doesn't trust anyone. How can he make any semblance of a difference how he is now?

Physical Description:

Pan is a small boy with a thin, lanky build. He is a grey rabbit, and he has large, lopped ears that curve both around and behind his head.

He has short grey hair, and wide blue eyes that are often fearful.

Believe it or not, Pan used to live with minimal amounts of anxiety. The only son of a caring, yet frail single-mother, he lived in Sparta and enjoyed going to flower shops and bringing potted plants back to their small apartment. However, during one outing with his mother, a horrific and unknown explosion ravaged a now abandoned section of Sparta. Pan lived, but his mother died protecting him, scarring the boy physically and mentally as he was sent to live with his abusive birth-father. Pan ran away from this environment and into the forests of Sparta, where he came across a kind mouse who found it fitting to take him in...

Pan has a noticeably large forehead scar that he received during the event that killed his mother. He covers it with his bangs, but when they are swept away the damage is easy to see. He blames this scar for his mental blockage of the event as well.

Personality:

No one seems to pay any mind to the civilians during conflicts like those in Sparta. There's so much focus on the battles between heroes and villains, on cops and robbers, yet no one notices the mothers and the fathers. The school-kids trying to live normal lives amidst the chaos, the postmen, the police officers, etc etc. Pan Albena is one of these people: a child in a unique position. Everyday in this ridiculous city, Pan tries to survive, and keep his guardian out of harms way...

Meek, yet evasive, Pan is suspicious around strangers and nervous around friends. Anxious and always questioning, he's a inquisitive youth who is always expecting things to go wrong at every moment. He's pessimistic as a defensive mechanism, and always wants to know a persons true intentions. He doesn't trust anyone who shows him kindness, and suspects all the people he sees without levity. Every second, he is paranoid and anxious.

Yet once you earn his trust, you make a friend for life. Pan is extremely loyal to those he loves. He's a kind boy who loves the gentle, sweet things in life. He doesn't like to feel alone, or abandoned, and while he gets nervous in the company of people, he craves social conversation. Pan is quiet, and doesn't often speak up or speak his mind. He's a good listener, and if anyone needs to vent to him, he's there to help.

If only he wasn't so terribly nervous! Pan's anxiety is the biggest part of him. It causes him to act rashly, and to hide away, even when the threats are comically small. Often times, Pan doesn't even give people a chance. He urges his guardian to push people away, and tries to bail out of difficult situations if it means protecting himself. This cowardice can be problematic if his guardian is ever in danger, or if someone is counting on him to do something. Pan would let people down to save himself.

But what do you expect from him? He's a child. He's a nervous, scarred child who doesn't want to be hurt again. Pan has no power of his own, and he has to rely on a kind guardian who gets by by being an asset to both sides. Every day he lives in fear of another explosion, or of villains getting tired of him, or of getting caught in the crossfire somehow. All he can do is hide and hope for the best. He hopes he can protect the person he loves this time...

Strengths & Weaknesses:

Pan doesn't have many strengths. He's not a fighter, and when it comes to blows he's not very strong. If there is one thing Pan has, its his speed. He's not the fastest, but he's nimble and agile. He has good senses, and really has quite the danger sense. Pan guides his mousey friend out of trouble most of the time, and has good sense and good judgements of character.

But Pan is a child. He's not strong, he's not particularly smart, and is overall average at everything he does. While he's guarded, and has a danger-sense about him, there's not much he can do to prevent these bad situations. He doesn't have the power to change much; all he can do is tell Delia and/or run away. Pan is very anxious, and often crumples under pressure.

 Bonus Facts:

- Pan has partial amnesia. He remember very little about the day where his mother died. He only remembers feeling scared, and the overabundance of the color white...

- Pan sells flowers in the town square. He grows them outside of Delias abode, and uses his green-thumb to help bring in some money for them both. It's very scary, but if it helps repay her hospitality...

- Pan, and a lot of the RP Group characters, stem from Sonic the Hedgehog fan-characters of the same name and personality. "Pan the Rabbit" was just a little different when I was younger--he had the ability to manipulate plants! His name actually stems from this old ability (he was named for the Greek God of the Wild). Times have changed since then.
