Profile

Fire, water, earth, air, light and shadow. These six elements combined created the world of Animus, a land created in a small universe built six, all-powerful Goddesses. Ever since a hole in space-time miraculously opened up between Animus and NE, the two worlds have been in communion. On occasion, beings from Universe CRB wind up in Universe ASHEPP, causing both great disaster and great harmony to fall and lift the people of Animus. In the recent century, a hero from NE has stood as firm protector of Animus. When the dark witch, Scarlet, began to ravage the land with her army of darkness, this hero was there to stop her. 100 years have passed since that first encounter. Although the hero lost much, including his own wife, he continued the fight Scarlet each time she reemerged to claim Animus for her dark deeds. At least, he used to...until he was captured within Pandora's Box, and sealed away for all eternity. With no one to stop her, Scarlet began her domination over the land of Animus, and now slowly consumes it with the help of her Shadite army...

However, while the hero has been felled, his daughter shall answer the call. Drawn to Animus by her mysterious, talking shadow, "Girly" arrives in Psuche: a mystical territory of the imagination. There, she meets the Ascended Animite, Tikal Vallis, who tells the young Girly that she is the next legendary hero; prophesied to save both her father, and the land of Animus itself...

Physical Description:

Elpis "Girly" Anthis is a small girl with a slim build. She's always cold, so she's often wearing thick coats and other winter clothes--even in the summer!

She has long brown hair and green eyes. She is the NE Equivalent of White

After arriving in Animus, Girly's soul is "awakened" and granted a patroness. Primed by the Goddess of Light, Psuche, Girly has been granted the ability to use Photokinesis in various ways--as both offensive attacks and defensive shields. She's quite the rookie when it comes to controlling her powers, but Tikal Vallis tells her she'll only become more experienced in time...

For a reason beyond her understanding, a mischievous, sarcastic shadow has been bound to her soul since she was a child. Although they have coexisted for years, they've never had reasons to "bond" as friends...that is, until her father, Hesiod Anthis is kidnapped and sealed within Pandora's Box. Now, Girly and her Shadow have to set aside whatever differences they have in order to rescue him from the clutches of the evil witch, Scarlet...

Personality:

When one imagines a legendary hero, they tend to imagine a valiant looking-warrior to go with the image. Drawn alongside the stories in picture-books, a quintessential hero is brave, bold, and never experiences fear in the face of seemingly-insurmountable danger. They save the world! They get the money, the glory, the thrill of conquest, and their image goes down in history as a revered figure for generations to come. Girly's father was like that. A strong and powerful warrior, the immortal Hesiod Anthis protected Animus for years against the evil gaze of the witch Scarlet. Now that he's gone, his daughter steps up to carry on his legacy...but she is far from ready. She's nothing like a conventional hero, and she knows this far too well.

Timid and withdrawn, Girly is a small girl who'd rather be in the background than at the forefront of a grand adventure. Trapped tightly within her introverted shell, she is quiet and easily started--afraid of making a fuss or causing a stir. She's aware of her faults to a point where it borders on self-deprecating, but she's a sweet soul who really does care about the plights of others. She's not indecisive with what she wants, and makes up her mind when no one else is on the line. She's curious but tactful of others, and knows when to walk away from things if she gets too invested.

She is a responsible young girl with a surprising amount of maturity to her. Wise beyond her years and empathetic, she cares deeply for others but can detach herself if things get to be too much. She deals simple, great advice to others when sought for, and she's mindful of others' quirks and accommodates for them. She's got a good memory, and if she likes you, she'll remember you and try to make you more comfortable! She wants to seem unassuming, but she's got a bright heart on the inside. Girly has so much to say and so much to add, but she's much too afraid of acting like a bother to speak up...

Girly's biggest vice is her humility, and lack of faith in herself. She's frightened by her newfound power and responsibility, and while she see it through, she doesn't think she's up for it. At many points, she doubts her own abilities, yet knows she must continue nevertheless. She can be a doormat and easily bend to the whims of others, because she feels as if it is expected of her. She doesn't want to cause a mess of things, and as a result, she is edged out of situations where maybe a bit of mess would have helped in the long run, or, made her feel better.

Over time, she hopes to come out of her shell...but she doesn't have time to focus on that at the moment. To Girly, it seemed like her world crashed around her all at once. Her father, her only rock in the world, disappeared without a trace.  She wants to save him more than anything...but how can she? She's not a quintessential hero. She's small, she's easily startled, she lacks a spine...how is she going to take down an all powerful witch, and her wicked army to boot? The more she thinks about it, the more she loses hope...but she can't give up! She can't. Failure isn't an option.

Strengths & Weaknesses:

Although Girly is timid, she's determined to see her goals through. Not because she wants to, but because she has to, and she's wise enough to recognize how important her success is. She takes her role very seriously, and although she is nervous she is determined to rescue her father and the people of Animus with her kind spirit. With her newly granted Photokinesis, Girly can create light constructs and light blasts that completely destroy the Shadite forces of Scarlet's army. She's new with her powers, but she's powerful, and with the aide of Shadow she's quite the force to be reckoned with on the battlefield. Who knows how strong she'll be in the future...?

Yet Girly understands her place. She's a little girl, forced on an impossible quest that becomes harder and harder with each passing day. When challenged by an authority, or someone she sees at superior, she has a tendency to back down or lose confidence in herself. She's a bit of a doormat, and will do whatever you ask her to in order to prevent stirring the pot. She doesn't like conflict, and it's her nature to try and avoid it no matter what--even if this is by appeasing people. She's a novice with her powers, and although she is strong, she's still a beginner. If she's not careful, who knows what could happen to her?

Bonus Facts:

- She's been placed in special classes at school due to her grades and lack of attention. This is primarily because of Shadow distracting her, but the teachers simply think she doesn't care about the material and punish her. Everyone, including her father, view Shadow as an imaginary friend Girly hasn't grown out of.

- Girly was a year old when her mother died. She has no memory of her, yet everyone says Girly looks just like her, or acts like her. Because of this, Girly is a little bit detached when her mom comes up in conversation.

- She has separation anxiety. The idea of being alone is terrifying to her, because throughout her entire life she's legitimately never been alone.
