Profile

In the city of Sparta, peculiar characters live in an uneasy peace. Humans and animal-hybrids co-exist together in this world of theirs, however, in Sparta, there always seems to be something destructive going on. Whether it be unexplainable explosions, or mysterious murders, Sparta is a town that is rife with crime that is seemingly without origin or purpose. But still, despite this chaos that runs rampant throughout the town, there are people who wish to do good. Masked heroes, super-groups, good samaritans, all of these people together work to clean up the streets, and make Sparta a safe (or at least, tolerable) place to call home.

Delia Caecus is a woman perpetually on the sideline. With her ability to heal the wounds of others with a simple, prolonged touch, Delia is an asset to both sides of the struggle as an advanced field medic. As long as they pay, she'll help anyone, as the funds help support her forest livelihood, and help her care for her young companion. While Sparta's consistent endangerment is distressing, it keeps her in business, and those who know where she resides can be back in the fight in no time. She cares little about motivations or alliances; she simply want to live quietly, and be of use however she can be.

Physical Description:

Delia is a tall woman with a curvy build. She is a black mouse, although her ears are much more sensitive than average due to her blindness.

She has long black hair that drapes around the sides of her face, with the bangs occasionally falling over her closed eyes. When her eyes open, they are shown to be a sightless, milky white.

Rescued from a experimental lab from one of the kind scientists, Delia grew up in a port island country under an assumed name and hidden identity. In her late teens, she and her adopted father moved to Sparta to stay under the radar, only Delia would eventually be left alone. When her father vanished, young and blind Delia was left to find for herself in the forests of Sparta, helping travelers with her mysterious healing abilities, and getting money for her services.

Due to past experimentation in her infant years, Delia has the ability to heal the wounds of anyone she touches. She can not revive people from the dead, however, she can heal mortal wounds and internal bleeding if given time. She cannot cure poisons, or diseases.

Personality:

In Sparta, it's easy to pick sides. In a world of heroes and villains, people tend to ally themselves with one morality or another, even those who purposefully claim the grey-area in the middle. Every character has their own, unique reason for what they do. But, what is the reasoning for the one character who chooses to do nothing? What does Delia gain by assisting both sides? And why is she so impartial?

Calm and collected, Delia is a levelheaded woman who is unfamiliar with the term "panic". Every action she takes is calculated, and she is a careful person who mulls over each decision, no matter how simple. A noble soul who judges fairly and without bias, each person is redeemable in her eyes, and she cares for each of her patients with a loving indifference.  She isn't one to play favorites, or ally herself with one particular person. Everyone should be treated the same, regardless of who they are, and Delia gives impartial treatment to everyone she comes across.

Despite this, Delia has a low tolerance of violence, or other forms of misbehavior. She scolds villains like a mother, and asks for her patients to take care of themselves over anything else. She never tries to talk villains out of their behavior, however, if they try to hurt her or her companion, Delia will let them hear no end of her disappointment. She's a moral person with an easily understandable motivation for everything she does. People are people, and people need treatment regardless of their alignment. If hospitals won't treat villains, she will. Also, they pay well.

Although she is equal in her treatment of others, Delia has a noticeably detached nature when it comes to social connection. The way she talks, she seems ethereal, like she's a vision that is soon to vanish. Aloof and out-of-touch, she has a hard time understanding some social cues, and makes the most logical decision despite emotional attachment. She does whats best, even if whats best puts her in a bad position.

But Delia isn't often forced to make those sort of decisions. Due to her open and accepting nature, no one wishes to cross her, and earn her blacklisting. Her healing abilities are a boon to everyone in Sparta, and to attack the medic would be foolish. She's well aware of that. Everyone in her care is safe, and she earns her livelihood by serving both sides. Although some people disparage this work ethic of hers, it'd be bad for business if she denied people her services!

Strengths & Weaknesses:

Delia's strengths lie in her powerful healing abilities. With only a touch, she can heal mortal wounds and return a body to a pre-damaged state. Her healing is fast, and although it requires energy, it can bring a person back from death's door much faster than a hospital stay would. Her hearing is also heightened, due to her blindness. Often times, she can hear threats coming, and knows her surroundings well enough that she can get around if needed.

Yet despite this, Delia is permanently blinded. She cannot get around as easily as other people, regardless of how well she knows her surroundings, and often has to be helped around by her younger, rabbit companion. Delia also is a poor swimmer, and now that she's lost her sight she can hardly swim at all. Delia doesn't discriminate on who she heals; they could be villains or heroes, as long as they pay.

 Bonus Facts:

- Was not born blind! Due to experimentation, her eyesight was sacrificed in exchange for her healing abilities. Her sight deteriorated over time, and once she reached adulthood, she could see nothing.

- Although she grew up in an island country outside of Sparta, she's familiar with one of its sea-faring residents. VERY familiar...

- Delia, and a lot of the RP Group characters, stem from Sonic the Hedgehog fan-characters of the same name and personality. "Delia the Mouse" used to be a lot more overpowered when I was young--she could bring people back from the dead! Times have changed since then.
