Mavis is a medium, one of the lucky few in existence who can see and speak to ghosts. He runs a small, out-of-the-way shop that offers psychic services for those looking to get back into contact with deceased loved ones. Despite his unassumedly gentle and calming demeanor, Mavis is a very grounded, realistic person with a surprising amount of wisdom.

Mavis was raised in a small rural town, far from any cities, where everybody knew everybody. He grew up normally, unaware of his hidden talent, until tragedy struck and his childhood friend passed away. After figuring out he could see and communicate with spirits, Mavis was subsequently run out of town and branded as an occultist.

Upon moving to a bigger city, Mavis began posting on forums online looking for other people like him, or ones who simply wished to communicate with the dead. Eventually, with money he was able to earn through odd side jobs, Mavis had saved up enough to rent a small storefront where he was able to set up a small store that sold candles and odd trinkets, as well as offering a private séance service.

Although he is well known and well liked in the small supernatural-focused communities in town, Mavis still ends up lonesome at the end of the day. Most of his clients keep their profiles low and avoid any outright friendship with Mavis. However, a chance encounter with a drifter named Cain leads into something much more than a simple séance.
