Vas is... well, for starters, an interesting specimen! Why, honestly he's never seen someone quite like him, and perhaps because the same could be said to Boa, it's why he feels a particularly strong bond with the nocturn. He's delightfully unusual and would love to know more; not only about Vas' general species but how his body functions and how the anatomy all fits together into this huge centaurish mass. It's genuinely incredible. ...E-eer ye-ys, anyway, about Vas himself! He's powerful! Strong! Absurdly fast and knows his strengths and weaknesses! And is also a wonderful and all-around nice person to talk to, even if his wit is far too sharp for Boa at times. And ignoring the absolute mess that was the 'double date', he gets on very well with him! Vas is someone to look up to, both as an inspiration and because you kind of have to. He's huge.
Boa! The 'Beast Of Anko' as it were - albeit, he's never struck as... particularly beasty. He doesn't even really look that monstrous - a bit peculiar, yeah, but more than anything he's just... tiny and squishy, not exactly super-intimidating.
Either way, the two of them are both certainly outsiders of a sort, at least in terms of their physical form. You tend to not see many people like either of them really, and Vas kinda feels as a result there is a form of... unique bond between them. As a result, Vas does consider Boa a close friend, and one he can talk to on matters that perhaps their other workmates wouldn't really understand. Still... despite it all, considering their rather different natures, it does on occasion feel that they are perhaps still worlds apart. Still, like, if Boa needs someone's face punched, or if Vas needs some intellectual challenge overcome, the differences are perhaps well ready and prepared to compliment each other.
Ohey, it's Vas! Vas is like, super-neat, big friendly giant sort. Okay, admittedly marginally more face-punchy than the BFG, rather intimidating when he wants to be, and all kinds of scary when he really loses his temper, but still! They're like, practically housemates of a sorts - making good conversation for each other on the late nights where all the other barstaff have gone back to their respective homes.
Vas, in a way, is a lot of what Chris would aspire to be. A big, almost cartoonishly manly hero of sorts, with a strong moral compass and will to save the day! Though Chris perhaps worries sometimes he may take said aspirations... a li'l far.
Oh Chris, she's - uh, he's? Ttthey? Okay, admittedly Vas has some difficulties when it comes to mentally asserting for himself how to address Chris - still the ghost doesn't really seem to actually mind all that much, which is probably for the best. Makes conversation easier when you don't have to constantly be worrying about that sorta thing.
Chris is someone Vas spends a lot of time talking to and confiding in. Considering Chris is both capable enough of listening in on basically everything, and is the only person left to talk to at the end of the day, the ghost has essentially become Vas go-to person when he simply needs to offload after a harsh day.
Hey-hey, it's the big guy! Caek and Vas get on pretty well, potentially due to both having spent a good portion of their youth 'in the countryside', or alternatively due to the amount they're both used to being stared at as they walk down the street.
Caek finds Vas to be super-intriguing really. Like, not only is he a big cool centaur dude, he's a big cool dude with rad stories to tell. It's like having Arnold Schwarzenegger in your basement, only, with more transformative drinks, confusions over technology, and general shenanigans.
The big dog! Okay, maybe not exactly anywhere near as big as him, but like... big by most people's standards? Regardless, Caek is a close - albeit rather quirky - friend of Vas. Admittedly Vas finds himself... confused by Caek a lot, but eh, he'll smile and roll with it, 'cause it seems to at least make sense to her.
Caek is someone Vas trusts to go to for advice. Whilst Boa tends to have his own logical set of ideas for how to resolve an issue, and Leo has his own views on the way things should go, Caek tends to be the best choice for more... emotionally-oriented views on situations. That, and outside-the-box thinking seems to come rather naturally to the canine.
Hell yeah, that right there is a legendary demon hunter! And not the sort who's legendary 'cause they go and brag about it, no the sort who's legendary because all the demons keep running around going 'Oh no not him'. You gotta respect someone like that!
Albeit, having met him, he seems less 'legendary hunter' and more... just someone who just happens to've beat up a lot of things? Still, seems a pleasant enough guy at least!
Vas... doesn't really know Alex all that well? Like, they seem pretty cool - a good friend of Caek's who he saw around at the wedding - but he's not really spoken to Alex himself until really recently.
Still they seem pleasant enough, and it's blatant they have a few things in common. Though perhaps it'd be nice to have more of a... casual conversation, rather than just the important-feeling demon talk.
Ah. Right. Gardner.
Gardner is scary. Not in the way that some are scary - he's not immediately monstrous in his outwards presentation, not needlessly violent where violence isn't requiring. It's all under the surface, the uncomfortable feeling that under a chummy experience, this is a man who could destroy whoever he wanted - physically or emotionally.
Of course, Suave knows he shouldn't really worry about that... He never did anything to earn the man's ire. Plus, the big cat probably wouldn't even recognise him anymore! Still... he has been seeing him around recently...
Aaah, Ignacio, he was a good little worker. Was always good with numbers, very respectful, and good with people. Perhaps he did think himself a little smarter than he really was - but he at least knew his place below Gardner. He could always do with more workers like him - just a shame about the unfortunate incident with the police. Still, well, if SOMEONE'S gotta go to jail...
Still, he's not really heard anything from the little guy since he got out. Though interestingly enough, a club has opened up in-town recently from a guy with the very same nickname. Of course, it couldn't possibly be the same person - still, Gardner ain't gonna complain about the excuse to go see a guy in tight pants shakin' his li'l nervous ass. ...What does he seem so nervous about?
Oh no. Ooooh no. It's a nutjob, it's a real honest-to-god nutjob. Like, Chris knows nutjobs, Chris has DATED nutjobs. Hell, in a long distant past, Zankh seems almost like someone Chris would've dated - she has enough of a deceptively positive attitude for it to've at least been considered. Still, the way she waves that sword around? Nuh-uh, it ain't happenin'.
Chris just hopes he can keep her distracted with all the theatre stuff. Albeit, sending the person you intend to avoid giving information to to one of the places you most like to spend time... Okay, maybe that wasn't the BEST plan.
She... uh... she seems... nnnice? Kinda... kinda psychotic in a way. Like, Caek is PRETTY certain that she doesn't want to meet Zankh again in any way - not because she's unpleasant in any way, but just because she's delusional. Delusional in a DANGEROUS way.
In a way, Caek wishes she could resolve the matter. Still, without Boa seeming willing to talk and clarify the matter, for now the canine seems it best just to avoid the self-appointed heroine. Lest she have to give fake directions AGAIN.
Yo, this chick is HOT. Like, the sorta pinky heart thing going on, you gotta dig it. Plus they can DANCE too - and BEND! Plus, y'know, the whole 'neat to talk to' thing too somewhere in there - god DAMN she a major cutie though.
Okay, so admittedly she turned him down. But that's understandable 'cause like - Eer gets ALL the bitches, that must be pretty intimidating, being flirted with by such a playa. Still, y'know, there's plent of Eer to go around.
Though he can't help but get this... strange feeling of Deja Vu around the bird. Like a similar confusion has happened before.
O-oh god Eer. Eer is... certainly something. I mean, yeah, he's a good friend - they spend a lot of time together, in and outside of work. In some ways, he's what Pelt aspires to be - a technical genius, filled to the brim with confidence, with no doubt in his abilities and a level of charisma to win people over despite his often-times rather abrasive use of language. Still... oh god, being around the guy can be draining - he has WAY too much energy.
He can also be, uh, really kinda pushy. Like, Pelt KNOWS Eer wants to help him with the whole 'confidence' thing. But trying to force him into situations where he'll have to ask out Never is NOT helping!
Hey dude, lighten up! You've got the power to get swole, what you gotta be so worried about? The chicks are all gonna dig that!
Really, Eer likes Pelt quite a lot. They get on well enough, with a mutual enjoyment of both games and science. Admittedly Pelt's not the COOLEST guy around, but hell, everyone's gotta have a token nerd friend right?
Really, all Pelt needs to do is pluck up some courage and put himself out there - in particular, put himself forward to ask Never out. Eer will even be his wingman! How could he fail?
...Smarter than he seems.
Woah lady. I get that like 'mystique' and 'aura' is like your deal or something, but you gotta stick with the silent act ALL the time? Like, I get it, I dig it, but are you ever NOT like that?
Eer would have to be lying if he said that he didn't find Never KINDA cool. Kinda hot too admittedly, but Eer ain't about that! Okay, well, he is about that normally, but he respects both her AND Pelt way too much to try anything.
It's absoloutely nothing to do with the fact she terrifies the living daylights out of him.
She seemed.. nice? Honestly Leo didn't really get much of a chance to form an opinion of Caek, what with their one exchange being more than a little brief. Still! She seemed nice enough, although she definetly did have a hint of 'no nonsense' about her - at the very least where shouting bears are concerned. Would be nice to meet her again, if only to try and form a proper opinion.
Nice guy! Admittedly they didn't get chance to talk at length, but he seemed perfectly pleasant when they did chat, albeit not exactly brimming with confidence. Perhaps Leo could do with being another victi- ah- uh- PATIENT of some of Caek's patented confidence-building techniques!
Wow, SOMEONE needs to chill out, because seriously? This lady is just too goddamn angry. Not that he particularly dislikes Noose, her ongoing furious persona is endearingly amusing in a way. Still, what's the point of running around with all that power if you're never gonna just sit back and enjoy it?
Not that he doesn't respect her - she's certainly cut out for what she does, with a certain lack of morals combined with the blatant ability to manipulate events to meet her ends. Still, he does occasionally feel the need to question her less efficient approach on certain matters. That, and if at the end of the day she's STILL unhappy, what's even the point?
BOOBS FOR DAYS and also she's lame as fuck and mega ultra boring but seriously those melons could feed every 3rd world country and then some. Legit what the fuck bet she's been fucking just been shlurping up some growth liquid thing for plants because how is she not just fuckin dead. dead from boobs. also she's TOTALLY jealous of WICKED because she isn't as WICKED as WICKED. I mean everyone is but HER ESPECIALLY.
This right here is a tiny li'l punk annoyance! Okay, she's still young, and Caek doesn't really know her all that well, but still! Bad first impressions. Especially the whole 'taking advantage of the particularly under-confident'. That sorta thing rubs Caek the wrong way.
No. No she better not see this goddamned piece of shit son of a bitch ghost again. Because no. Nnnno. One time was enough. But having someone else control you, against your will, is insulting, and scary, and horrible, and it makes her feel so vulnerable and weak. And to change her body? She's had enough of that already, and to experience it again was... uncomfortable, and upsetting, and she can't stab a ghost. She can't do ANYTHING to a ghost but it can do ANYTHING to her and... no. No let's just... not think about it.
Woah there Stabby McFacerkins, you better put that knife away! 'Cause like, Chris barely knows you, but one thing's for sure - the Phanton Facepuncher's got your number! So you try and stab anyone in the Phantom's neighbourhood again? You can sure as hell bet you'll find yourself walking in the opposite direction! Plausibly with someone else walking your feet for you! YEAH!
Caek is an incredibly popular lass, and it wouldn't be a stretch to say that Boa was just a little envious of her and her links in the social circle of Trinus. She's confident, charismatic and an overall optimistic person who's willing to help someone who is or isn't in need - so what's not to love? While a little odd at times, that doesn't dissuade from her general positive demeanour. But despite this, she is trying to assist in his personal matters - matters she honestly has no right to delve into. He's just hoping she'll be smart enough to not question further or get involved, because the last thing he wants to to leave a bad impression on what he considers to be a great friend.
How do you solve a problem like Boria? Boa's a nice guy! That sorta... quietly pleasant fellow, who maybe doesn't overly contribute to matters when he's around, but definitely contributes positively when he does! Albeit... Caek worries that is perhaps because the more negative matters are the ones he's mulling over in his own quietness.
Caek does genuinely worry about the li'l guy. Like, she really wishes he'd just speak up a bit more, share his issues, y'know? After all, she's been trying to help him - but there's only so far you can go to help someone who won't help themselves.
Caek was an interesting girl for Sugar to meet! She was super kind, if not assertive, and kind of funny. She acts in a way Sugar finds a little strange, but in the end, she was the only one who offered her something in return. That made the little rabbit happier than she probably knows.
She also thinks Caek is kind of hot oops. Darn that latent pansexuality.
A sweet young girl who should maaaybe stand up for herself a bit more. Sugar strikes as someone who's... well... a bit of a push-over? Not that Caek has a problem with that - she married a complete push-over!
The girl is just like, really genuinely nice, it's just nice to see. Caek just hopes that in future she doesn't allow people like Wicked to push them around - or at the very least, if someone tries, there'll be someone there to look out for her!
Caek? Caek's a good friend - one who can take a bit of fun and is easy-going enough to not really object to the occasional ghostly antics! Hell, Chris even gets to be Caek's body's 'designated driver' for particular drunken nights, something that the ghost ain't complaining about!
Of course, there iiis the matter of Holly. I mean, Chris is sure Caek wouldn't really mind THAT much - kinda hard to talk it over though, right?
Hey-hey, Chris is pretty dang great! Caek and Chris get on well, probably in large part due to their similarly quite perky personalities, and their love of performance. Admittedly, Caek does feel guilty that the only really applicable advert she could ever use Chris in would be... well, probably one he'd not be so keen in appearing in.
Either way, Caek blatantly places a lot of trust in Chris. I mean, you HAVE to place some trust in someone if you're gonna allow them to occasionally possess your body.
So! Alex has known Caek for quite a while - ever since the canine first moved to the city. The two had a brief fling of sorts, and though it didn't really go anywhere, they at least remained good friends afterwards. Alex would be lying if shi didn't admit to still having at least a mild crush on the girl.
Either way, relationship-wise, they've both moved on to other things - but are both still happy to find time in their schedules to meet up and chat. Plus, Alex has recently discovered that her friend knows the legendary demon hunter 'Vasiel Loup' quite well.
The kitsune is beginning to suspect her friend may just be some form of people-magnet for unique and unusual individuals.
A friend met during one of Caek's more 'experimental phases', though things didn't quite work out, she extended the olive branch to keep in contact, meeting up and chatting every now and again. Probably in part due to their past intimacies, they know each other quite well - and that didn't feel worth throwing away just because they couldn't quite work out a relationship.
Besides which, Alex is the sort of friend who's good to have around. Outspoken about their thoughts, and brash in the face of danger, Caek often uses Alex when she needs someone to be a good confidence booster! Plus, the kitsune has been helping encourage Caek to be more active - and when your comparison point is a ninja, well... that's certainly a motivator.
Small buff guy is buff, like, MEGA buff! And that's a good point in Baf's books! Like, the dude wasn't BORN like a triangle, there has to be a method for it! Because hot damn does that strike his fancy and he's MORE than up for a training montage with this dude! It'd be otter brilliant!
Yo, big buff guy needs tips on being bigger and buffer? Maverick is down for that! I mean, he's not exactly a teacher, but hell, he takes pride in his body. If someone else is gonna ask about that, you can bet he's gonna answer!
Although there is that little deep-down part of him that just... just REALLY wants to suplex the big demon lord. After all - he's the Titan Slayer! And this guy is huge!
Chris is... unfortunate? Boa doesn't really know Chris THAT well admittedly, while they're a work colleague, they haven't actually properly spoke at length. But anyone who can make the most of a bad situation, and still have THAT sort of infectious personality that is weirdly endearing is a good in his books! Still, he has sympathy for the ghost. And on the plus side, actually KNOWING a ghost makes it significantly easier to conduct research on them. Generally all-round good guy! ...Well, other than hoping they don't decide to prank him while he's working.
Dude needs to like, socialise more. Like, yeah he's pleasant, nice chap and all that, but c'mon, live a little - whilst you're still living!
...Okay, admittedly Chris knows Boa maaay be having some issues he's not too keen on sharing. But still, share something! You may very well NEED to!
Anna is kind of cool to Whip. It's not often someone stokes his ego quite like her. Most people just kind of bark at him for being a thieving pest, but Anna seemed starstruck by his glamerous occupation.
She's on his good list. Keep it up and you might be a treasure hunter one day too, kid.
Oh my god.
It's a bunny.
It's a really big bunny.
It must be hugged.
A friend-of-a-friend, seems a neat enough guy. Unusual too - whilst Alex has plenty of experience dealing with the spiritually-natured, straight-up standard 'ghosts' without any of the fancy trimming are rare where shi's from. Not that death seems to've taken anything from him - still seems pleasant enough.
Albeit, he could do with, uh, toning down the occasional creepy stalking perhaps? What does he want from hir?
Woah, woah, woah. Okay, first thing's first, Alex is pretty coo'. I mean like... she's a goddamn ninja - like a REAL one. Good friend of Caek's too, so by Chris' standards that means they're all good.
Not only that though, they can TOUCH ghosts! Plus, they can't be possessed at all, it's like there's another spirit in their body already or something. Now this sounds like a mystery to be solved by Detective Chris Holmes!
Eli's feelings towards JC are ones of hatred, and of mild curiosity.
On one hand, she is one of the few beings he actively despises, blaming her in part for the dissapearance of Princess - Although in his more... mortal state, he will admit this is not the case - and dislikes her attitude towards him. He finds her arrogant, thoughtless and cruel, but does not.. strictly hold any of this against her. He just simply wishes she'd let him fucking explain his side of the story, before actually judging him.
On the other hand though, he finds her undeniably attractive and... a curiosity. His last encounter with her left him with vague impressions of a past shrouded in mild secrecy. He suspects - and partly hopes - that he may one day be able to win around her friendship, or at the very least get to the point where she will let him talk before trying to smack him with a wrench, or slam a door in his face. Not that he thinks there's much chance of that now, but hey.
JC absolutely despises this creep. Manipulating little kids who don't understand better into his sick games of 'desire' or whatever-the-fuck. Preying on their lack of understanding of real world consequences and then treating them like his li'l dress-up dolls or do other creepy things with. It's evident Princess is a screwed up little shit of a kid - but JC definitely know this asshole didn't help matters.
Not only that, he won't LEAVE HER ALONE. After Princess asked her to help get him away from her, and she shares her total disdain for him and what he's done, he starts coming to her asking to see her - or sending little imps to do the same. Just like, fuck right off dude. It's like you're TRYING to come across as despicable.
Leo... really doesn't know what to think of Alex, especially since they've only really interacted once. He finds them to be a fairly encouraging individual, and is glad for their assistance in... semi-fending off that rude individual, Carminda. They are the kind of individual he hopes to surround himself with more in life, due to their positivity.
Leo seems like a nice dude! Albeit, one who needs dragging out of his shell a bit more. He seems like the sorta person to sit there going 'Oh, well I WANT to do the thing, but I'll sit back and not do the thing'. And Alex wants him to do the thing - 'cause shi knows he'll be happier when he does the thing! Gonna have to prod a li'l confidence into him!
