Eli not knowing what to do with something related to her OCs? Inconceivable, never before seen.

Long story short, I need some help with how I want to present my OCs' details. The poll refers to the below options, please read 'em quickly if you intend on voting! Basically I am unsure of how to present my OCs' profiles. 

The old method was to have a summary of three paragraphs at the top with quickstats that stated some necessary facts next to it. The pros of this is that it all looks good, and that it's easy to digest the very basic gist of the character. The cons, however, are that this makes it necessary to summarise the character in very little words, often the quickstats repeat what's said in the summary, and you have to go digging into the profile to find the interesting albeit just as important bit.

The new method would be to instead open up the profile with a list of facts about the character that I find important, basically a merge of the quickstats and the summary section, that can be much longer. The pros are that this paints a much clearer image of the character as a whole and its far easier to write. The cons are that the most important details about the character may get lost in other less important facts and starting out a profile with bullet points both looks pretty dull and kinda pulls the reader out of the experience. It can also make the rest of the profile a little unnecessary/repeating.

I'm gonna be replacing old outdated profiles of important characters with a profile like I gave Brutus and Zodiac, because it is much clearer than the outdated far too detailed ones I've got. It's much easier to read the simpler points until I finally rehash the profiles.

The old ones won't be removed, though! I'll add a text-only tab with the old profile content, and hopefully I'll one day manage to rehash them. Some sections I will keep are quickstats, physical description, and some other important details for when I buy commissions or when they're drawn.

Is there anything you wanna read about in my world? Anything at all? I am currently looking for ideas people have because I really can't focus on what to write about, and I need ideas fast l'D Doesn't even need to be applicable to Life only, suggesting general open topics is fine too!

I wanna be active again so badly like I was the first few years on this site, but oh lordy is it hard @_@

I've been lurking on the forums a lot, but noticed that I very rarely participate anymore. When I looked at my post history, I was surprised how rarely I'm active anymore, and yet I spend a couple of hours a day just lurking around! Where did my participation go? And the worst part is that I was certain I had posted in fun threads in General, and yet there's not a single of my posts in those types of threads.

Though it can help that the witch hunts of a good 6 months ago made me scared to post, yanno? One moment you say you don't like guacamole, the next you're pinged (or worse: vagued) by 7 people who simply won't stand for such a display of distasteful savagery. It didn't happen to me, luckily, but I've seen these things happen to so many others that it kinda shut me up even in trivial stuff to say. And with drama blogs popping up again, it feels like someone's always breathing in your neck ready to stab you when you say something they don't like.

But!!! I do intend on being more active. Can't let that type of person take the fun outta the site. Play some games, give my opinions on non-bait threads in General, all that fun stuff. Catch me mass replying to the threads I read before.

I'm also working on my OC profiles with the new code. That's easy, I thought, just replace the code and copy-paste all info. Yeah. That's absolutely what you'll do, Eli. You won't feel so ashamed of the terrible outdated writing that's in the old profiles that you have to rewrite every single section on every single character profile you remake to the point where you're basically rewriting 121 characters. Not what's happening at all.

Bear with me, one day my characters will be enjoyable once more lmao

This year I'm thinking about once again entering a few secret Santas, so here's a wishlist of art I would love to receive! I may also take christmas art trades if I don't find enough SS's to enter.

Preferences

• All my characters are in a medieval fantasy setting unless specified otherwise, please keep that in mind if you add scenery and items! Please also no christmas themed art if you like to theme secret Santa gifts; winter theme is okay!
  
  
• My characters don't have to be doing anything specific in their art; I'm also happy to see them drawn in someone's style without any theme!
  
  
• That being said, if you incorporate their personality, likes, strengths/weaknesses, backstory, trivia, relations with other characters, or any other detail you can read on their profile, I will instantly love your piece 75% more.
  
  
• Please don't draw NSFW or gore with my characters! Minor things like bruises and blood are okay if applicable. That is, unless their profile details that they are involved with gore, then it's okay.
  
  
• I'm not really attached to any of my pairings, so I'd also prefer not to receive (canon or non-canon) romantic art. Friendship art, though? A+++.
  
  
• Nearly all of my characters have a summary and some quick design points on their profile, you can read those if you need ideas on what to draw!

• Art of Garry, A, or Wes, or art containing the three of them. They're my Guild mains and are combatants! If you wish to add their weapons, I didn't yet design them but they wield respectively a bow, a single handed mace, and a two handed sword.
  
  
• Art of Seranet. He's got plenty of context on his profile to give ideas, but lately I've been enjoying his job aspect as botanist, chemist, and physician, so those could be fun themes to work with!
  
  
• Lyn and/or Seares? They're BFFs and I'd love to see more art of them oml, they both have info on their profiles that can give you ideas.
  
  
• I'd also love art of Yani! His profile speaks for itself; great potential for magical shenanigans and medical angst!

Hey y'all!

I decided to change up my profile a bit because I really love my new character profile HTML and found a decent way to transform it into a useful profile layout. There now exists more info on me, and better accessible one too! There's likes and interests and all, and in the future I'll make sure a clear link to commission and art trade info appears somewhere.

Also, now I can have a featured character section. Always wanted one like that. There ain't enough space, so I may rotate featured characters over time. Currently, it's all about babes I love and want more people to see ;v;

Now it's up to me to rewrite and recode all character profiles! And boy, my two to four year old writing is a fecking hot mess, I can tell you that much. Don't read my old profiles. I nearly broke my neck and crushed all my back nerves cringing at myself. The updated ones will be much better, and if a lot of info changed I will send out an edit notification!
