ElithianFox's Bulletins
Decided to make separate profiles for AUs because otherwise things get confusing
Also, like this it's easier to collect artwork of the modern human AU designs and to write down stuff like physical description and personality
Sorry about that
I checked my folders for artwork I forgot to add to TH and found quite a lot of works. They've been added now so I don't think there'll be any large spams in the near future! Just some smaller spams for when I commissioned a few people and received new artwork. Meanwhile, enjoy the art of the nerds.
Also, if you see yours here or know about an artist that is credited that is on TH, tell me! It's easier to credit on TH than through an extrenal link.
For the first time in what, 9 months? Gar being pouty.
I'll sure miss the old one. But that picture is so old by now that I just needed a new one. Let's have one more look at the old icon.
What a beauty. Rest in peace, old friend.
I’ve been toying around with the idea of putting elves on Life but so far I haven’t had any idea how to implement them. With the recent changes in the West new unexplored isles showed up where there’s the potential for new creatures. If Life has a tiny race of humanoids and a huge race of humanoids, why not add a medium sized race of humanoids too?
They’d probably live on the Boye-Kass island, meaning elves instead of being named elves would be named… eh, I dunno, the Boye Kassat or just the Kassat? You'd have three types; the Kadi (short and dark skinned), the Boye (medium and olive/orange skinned), and the Eld (tall and pale skinned). The smallest elves are still around the height of the tallest demons, so that’s fair.
I don’t really want to thread into too much cliché terrain, but maybe the reason the islands are so hard to explore is a combination of harsh geography and the elves using a certain type of magic to keep out uninvited guests. Still a working concept. The elves would be the dominant sentient species on the isles they inhabit.
ELF TYPES
Kadi elves - Kadi Kassat
The shortest type of elf, with the average height of 160-190 cm (or 5'2-6'2). They are usually rather dark skinned, both with high and low vibrant options. They're one of the two more sophisticated stereotypically races, next to the Boye, but unlike the Boye they live in a monogamous society.
Boye elves - Boye Kassat
The medium sized type of elf, with the average height of 180-210 cm (or 5'10-6'10). They tend to have a very vibrant brown or orange for skin colour and can have dark, medium, or light skin tones. They're seen as the most sophisticated of the three races. Some of their regions are culturally polygamous.
Eld elves - Eld Kassat
The tallest type of elf, with an average height of 200-230 cm (or 6'6-7'6). They have a very pale skin, often less vibrant but sometimes with some vibrancy in it. They live on the smallest isle and are slightly endangered due to recent huge losses thanks to outside visitors culling their numbers. They tend to live of the land much more than the other races and are more traditional.
I CAN ALWAYS USE FEEDBACK
I came up with this stuff yesterday, so they're still an early concept. If you have any feedback at all ("I like this concept" and "I don't like this because I don't like elves" are feedback too) feel free to leave it in the comments!
TL,DR; I want to change the way my main guys live together at the moment; Gar, A, and Altari would become much less settled down in one large house and become more of a travelling assassin bunch with a small house they're not even in half of the time, but I'm not sure if I should do this and how I should go about doing it.
----------------
I haven't had a huge story reform since I squished down the main guys' age from 160 years back to 40-50 years and completely had to rework the relative timeline in which characters of all ages were tied in with each other, which has to have happened at least a year ago.
I feel unsure about making changes like this because everything that's related to the change would have to change too. Though lately I've been thinking; I've always been sure about the first 25-30 years of my main Guildies, but after that I never figured out where they are at the beginning of 'the story'. Hell, I don't even know in which year it'd start.
I've had a vague idea that they'd be pretty high up already with a nice house and all of that, but that just feels like they've settled down too much. If you're rich life is much easier and you rarely have a reason to face danger or take risks. I kinda wanna change that, meaning I'd also change a lot of motivations and a part of their backstory. Additionally, I wanna make it so that they travel around pretty often in Kestane and the Demonic Mainlands in both small scale and large scale missions, so they don't sit on their asses at home all day.
Still, they wouldn't be lower class, mainly because Altari has rich parents who provide him with what he needs. I was thinking that maybe Gar and A weren't yet finished paying off their Guild training yet (that shit's expensive, what a bunch of scammers) and decided to take it slowly to live in relative comfort and to not have to run around wearing rags but still can't aim for becoming rich in the near future. They'd take a 50% tax on the money they earn with missions to pay off their training, and Wes' training because after his death his costs fell on their shoulders as his nearest acquaintances. That rate is the lowest option and makes their condition pretty liveable, as opposed to the 90% rate Kia is subjected to to pay off her training and her bounty.
This would explain a whole lot of things, for example why they bother to take on missions that could endanger them in the first place or why they're some of the lesser known assassins in the Guild if you ignore Gar's somewhat high stature of being a competent bowman, which he has only gained because literally no one chooses the bow as their specialisation. You don't get rich without making a name. It'd also explain why no one has knifed their throats in their sleep yet.
The biggest problem would be Altari. He's a rich popular kid who only wanted the best treatment he could get, and the only reason he's sticking around is because he wanted to experience something different than his sheltered youth and because his family taught him to have a pureblood fetish or something. I can't see him living in a small house, and since he's not /that/ keen on going on group missions I just have a hard time imagining why he'd stick around. Maybe because they're his only friends and the only people who tolerate him?
I want to keep them as a trio, not split them into 'The fellas and Altari' or something. You could say that since he saves their asses half of the time he belongs to the trio but if I were to go through with this it'd mean that I'd also have to think about his role in the story and in the main trio. Hard stuff, man. Why Altari gotta be such an asshole?
Decisions, decisions... Lemme know if you have any thoughts on this, just putting out this bulletin to let all of you know what I've been up to in storytelling land.
I thought about making character backstories much briefer on character profiles here and include a sta.sh link to the full backstory at the beginning. That way the profiles don't get too long and people don't have to read through 50 paragraphs to know what the character is about, but the ones that want to read the full story can still access it.
Thoughts?
Couple of things changed, couple of things are being planned. Additionally you can now find my progress on characters here!
The following pages changed significantly in the past months:
- A - Updated the entire page and added the start of a backstory
- Angry Soul - Completed page
- Chiara - Added some interesting stuff
- Garry - Played around with his page, though currently unchanging
- Kia - Almost finalised this one
- Markus- Added everything but personality and backstory
- Seranet - Updated everything but backstory
- Shadri - Finalised page
- Sweet Soul Child - Finalised page
- Wes - Added lots of stuff
- Zeanu - Finalised page
For personal reference, a list of my character profiles ordered from most to least completed. Also includes word count rounded to a prettier number than the real number, but still at most 50 off.

Empty profile
No large fields have been filled in, and aside from the quickstats, colour palette, and/or reference sheet, no info has been typed out yet. These characters tend to be the least developed or so old they haven't been used in a long time.
They currently are authorised only as I have yet to write a lot of details before making them public. Not sure if they appear in my authorised subs' inboxes, but if they do, sorry for the spam! I'll be making bulletins every time new profiles are up. Mostly background characters and characters who have yet to be developed, and they still need a design. Main reason I don't have them public yet is the design, come to think of it.
You can find them in my Unsorted character folder.
Updated the following profiles
- Lyn Arana: added a lot of details, working on the backstory
- Kia Lybeck: added a backstory and more details
Aside from that, I am also changing the format of all profiles to be more readable. The titles will be coloured, there's be an indent for content text, and I will be including a reference sheet underneath the physical description. Hopefully this will make things more clear and more readable. I'll be experimenting with fonts too.
