they're all different but they're all a bit insane in their own ways
This was a conversation my friends and I were having earlier about our characters: everyone has certain character archetypes they're a sucker for-- or maybe ones that they can't help but keep making. What's your poison?
You can interpret this generally: maybe archetypes like "jerks with a heart of gold", personality traits like "smug", storylines like "friends who fall in love", whatever types of characters you love to see or create!
My characters:
a) idiots but they try
b) feelings are hard let's never talk about them
c) conflict resolution is hard let's never talk about it
I recently realized that I have way too many happy cinnamon rolls characters. literally all of them had a relatively good life
So I decided to make some more psychopaths and yanderes to counterbalance it :’)
Common ones: -Shy and sweet scaredy cats -Overly energetic & competitive -Kuuderes that have trouble opening up to others
- fashion on point, is not afraid to tearing you down with their unwavering confidence (karla,yvon,gelita)
- grumpy/sarcastic ones, yet so chill at the same time,"not this shit again" kind of person (may,yolanda,madison,belén,celo,charlie)
- almost optimistic de facto leader (filete,chris,clara,cece)
- that one guy in a team full of girls (yasin,odiseo,sebastián,vitro half counts bc they're queer)
- soft/gentle,seemingly perfect/unmoved but broken and melancholic on the inside (hallaya,albertina,wallis,lady blue)
- THE PUREST BOYS EVER,they just want to be good people even though they already are (mario,aaron,oliver)
- powerful, chaotic,huge bitch/bastard (electra,hester,gregor,maude ojo)
- responsible,has-their-shit-together younger sibling(s) and unresponsible but endearing older sibling(s);and viceversa;they usually go their separate ways (vitro and toni,avu and luz,delfina and odiseo,yolanda and SWAG,galacta and their siblings,ecithya and combat baby,celo and sandra,hitomi and momoko)
- is space related (some of my EH characters)
- is food themed (most sweetworld characters, some super filete characters, the alter egos of my power punch characters)
- suit-wearing antagonist (too many to list)
there's also many self inserts that sort of evolved into their own thing as time passed on
Realized I have a lot of black-haired, sensitive boys that don't talk a lot.
Also fair hair/dark hair duos.
black hair/red eyes... silent and complex characters... boys w long hairs.. annoying villain characters (i think that's just a fault in my writing style but)... characters vaguely based on biblical themes...too many sad demons
- tricksters (with secret hearts of gold)
- acts like they don't care, but really care too much.
- hedonism
- hetero couples where the woman of the pair is the one who actually 'wears the pants' in the relationship
- alternately, hetero couples that are just straight up femdom
- freckles
- blue or green eyes
- pretty people

- tiny but evil
- big n perfect
- female char whos incredibly witty (but not always intelligent)
- the Protester
- everyone is some level of gay
- edgy but with good reasoning, such as a traumatic backstory
edit: also forgot to mention the whimsy, distant, "where the hell am i" dreamer character
