Answer to a question from the user above

Posted 5 years, 11 months ago (Edited 5 years, 8 months ago) by Caine

Similarly to "answer to the question from the oc above", the idea of this game is to answer to something the user above you asks! I was debating whether to name the thread this or "ask a question to the user below" and got a headache trying to decide which one, but really they are the same thing!

This is not an OC game: this is for users to ask things from other users, similarly to "ask a question to the user above you" but in reverse. Hopefully it'll be a fun way to learn more about the users here & get a chance to talk about something you like!

Rules:

  1. Make sure to claim first! This way you'll avoid getting ninjad by someone faster than you
  2. Your answer can be as long or short as you wish to make it to be! Just use the spoiler marker if you end up writing a lot or including lot of images
  3. Wait for at least 3 people to post after you before claiming again! If 12 hours pass, anyone can reply and/or post a new answer
  4. Keep your questions vague enough that people will have something to answer to them!
Don't ask:
  • any super personal questions, like full name or home town
  • questions of morals such as "what would you do if...". While these can be fun, they can really easily get under people's skin and cause stir and drama, and we're here to have a good time and not fight
  • anything that could be considered even vaguely NSFW or sexual in nature
  • idk just keep it civil and not weird or creepy and you'll be fine

If I see someone asking for too personal things or being rude or behaving strangely I'll privately message them to fix their message. Feel free to also DM me if you see strange or rule-breaking behavior!

Question examples:

Here are some things to maybe give ideas to what kind of things to ask! Feel free to use these or do your own thing, as long as it's following the rules

  • INTERESTS: Favourite movie/book/anything? Hobbies? Strange trivia you know?
  • CHARACTERS: Your most expensive character?
  • CREATIVE: Are you more of an artist or a writer? Your creative influences?
  • STORYTIME: Funniest elementary school memory? Has anything strange ever happened to you?

If the thread has been stuck for +12 hours anyone is free to answer and ask a new question!

For the first person posting:

Here’s a story: when I was ten, I was hardcore into Transformers. Like, I freaking watched it for five years (eleven years now but who’s counting?). I got into Fanfictions when I was about ten and was shocked by the amazing characters people have created. They were amazing! As a ten year old, I didn’t know what cliches were so I took aspects of other characters and made mine: Titaniumwrench. She’s changed a lot. She’s no longer ten (yes that was a thing) and she’s got more of a personality to her. She had siblings and I’ve developed her further from the copy and paste character.

Now, I’m working on a good story.

What is your least favourite and favourite cliche?

It's been nearly 24 hours, so I'm going to try and move this along... Sorry!

Who was your very first OC and do you still use them now?

hedgemaze

Technically Xero is my oldest character, but that feels like cheating since I was a baby at the time and he's changed unrecognizably over the years. But I do still use him.

I usually say Silver is my oldest character, because he's the first I can remember thinking of as a character, as my character (again, we're talking young childhood). He's changed a lot too, and I've used him in pretty much every project I've ever had, but he's always had the same sort of role in every story: he's not the protagonist, but he's always important, this amiable, stressed guy trying to keep things running in the middle of chaos. He's important in my current comic, too.

What was your proudest moment, or what have you created that you're most proud of?

Caine

I feel like I have had multiple really good moments I'm proud of since that's life, but the only bragging-worthy is graduating from lukio* with the best in-school grades (given by teachers) and the best matriculation exam grades (national exams) of my school's year group. I got really big money stipends for my grades and I was so darn proud of myself because I come from a poor family with parents who never went to lukio themselves, and for once being able to bring this sort of academical attention to my family practically for the first time ever made me so happy.

*(Lukio is a Finnish school that's unique enough it doesn't have real translation, but it's something like senior high school and kind of a big deal here)

What kind of movies you like the most?

i had to paint kids' faces at my sister's b'day party yesterday and i was really not looking forward to it (u know, kids + trying to get them to sit still while painting on them? bye) but while the paints i was using were really crappy and cheap and made my paintjobs look really shit - the kids loved them? like idk it made me super happy to see these kids fucking ecstatic to have rainbows and tiaras and shit on their faces
like after they were all painted i went to the food table to grab a snack and one of the girls was like 'hey ur the guy that painted my unicorn!' and idk it made me smile to see her so happy ;w; so as much as i didn't wanna do it, it was so worth it in the end and made my day

i can never make it to their streams but i LOVE vinesauce! I don’t know, i think i started watching them in.....6th grade? So that’s probably like.... 3 years. my favorite member is joel but vinny is a close second!

what’s something nice you’re looking forward to? it doesn’t have to be a big event, it can be like “i’m going to the mall tomorrow and im excited!”

RadiantRaindragon

There's a funfair coming to our town at the end of this month and I'm looking forward to it! It's been years since I've actually been to one. (Last time there was a funfair, it rained and they cancelled it, so here's hoping it won't happen this year.)

What's your favourite animal and why?

jukeboxes

My favourite animal is the pangolin! I don't know why, they're just so cute and beautiful in my eyes! I just love how they curl up so cutely!

Sadly, Pangolins are endangered. They're poached for their scales. One day, I hope to volunteer somewhere where I can help these beautiful animals!

(Here's what they look like, if you didn't know:)

When was one time where you overcame something that nobody else thought you could?

Since I'm /that/ kinda person, I guess Akihabara when we're going to talk about shopping. I'd honestly like to go to the extraordinary cafes it has to offer other than seeing pop-culture merch everywhere. I'm not the type to shop, but I'd literally go bankrupt in a split second as soon as I land on Akihabara, honestly speaking. I'd also like to experience living in a temperate country too, so I'd like to go there when it's spring or winter.

Though outside my interests, I actually prefer places with less smoke and industry, so I really love going to any places that seems country enough or places that holds the past of the country, such as Vigan. (I've went there once, and would totally go there again if I have the chance)

I'd like to try to go to Romania, England, or Italy simply because on how beautiful the architecture in those places are? Those three countries are one of the major reasons why I began to write about worldbuilding, so I'd like to experience going in a place that inspired me to build my own little worlds. I bet there's simply more than the pictures and description I see for it. Damn it, my cousin was lucky enough to live in England for a bit too haha

And lastly, I'd also like to go to the countries where my friends live in (e.g. Germany, USA, Netherlands) for really obvious reasons.

To continue the chain of places, are there any place that strikes a huge impression on you it affected on how you write/draw your OCs? ' o')
