What is the person above's trademark?

(Related threads: What are your trademark character archetypes, What Do You Like About The Above User's OCs?, ☀️ Say something nice about above user's art)

I often find that a lot of people have themes and signature elements across all their creations that make them identifiable as theirs. There are a few threads around where we get to talk about our own trademarks, but I think it'd also be cool to find out what makes your creations unique and recognisable to other people. You might even learn something you never noticed about your own work!

How to participate: Look through the person above's OCs and works, and tell them what you think their trademark is. How can you always tell that an OC/art/writing was created by them? What stands out about their work that makes it recognisable as theirs, and no one else's?

  • Themes and tropes that they're fond of?
  • Personality types and physical traits that a lot of their OCs share?
  • A recognisable art style?

More detail is always appreciated. You can talk about designs, art style, writing style, and even all of those at once!

Rules:

  • Focus on OC profiles, art, literature and designs. Less focus on details that haven't got much to do with their creative work, e.g. their online identity, icon, profile themes (unless they made them themselves), and posting habits.
  • You can still mention these, of course—just say something about the user's creations first.
  • This is a compliment thread so please be kind and don't take this as an opportunity to diss people!

All your characters have very distinctive colors and designs, as well as having really interesting personalities. Most of them either appear to be very stylistic or appear to be really expressive. Your artstyle also appears to be really stylish, and moderate colors. It really gives off a smooth feel to your characters.

Mochagatari

I'd say cute critter fantasy characters with big eyes and bold colors are your trademark! Fluffy or winged characters frequently abound in your work, too. They're simple but effective, it makes me think of stuff like Kirby!

Candaru

Mochagatari You have a very cartoonish style, kinda like My Life As A Teenage Robot! (Even your more "serious" looking art tends to have bigger heads, long legs, ect.) Your characters also seem to either have a TON of black in their designs or be completely devoid of it, which I think is interesting ^^

(edit: aaaaah ty animorphs ur super sweet ;;!!)

qhostbyrd

Candaru Your art style is very soft, round n adorable !!! You seem to have a lot of cute character based off of foods or sweets (Which is always the best) and use lots of pastels!!! Very VERY cute work all around <3333

(edit ah thank ya,, really gotta update all of my OC's pages OOF)

Inspector-Spinda

@AnimorphsFan You have a lot of animal or animal-earred characters. Your style is very round with big eyes. You also really like using pastel colors! A lot of your characters have easter egg palettes :D A lot of them don't have bios so I can't really said more rip.

dogstarlite

Inspector-Spinda Your style is the most obvious thing! You've got a pretty neat toony sort of style, all exaggerated proportions that really help get across your characters' personalities. You seem to like bright colors and use them even on characters with darker palettes to make them stand out. And of course all your nonhuman OCs show me you like modern fantasy type stuff!

(Good luck with that comic btw you can do it!!)

Sleepy-Thunder

@Exsanguinath I believe your trademark would be spherical lining. What I mean by that is, all your art is done with very rounded edges. (Which will be quite a good thing in the future if you tend to lean toward realistic drawing, ^^)

As for your writing, I believe your use of dialogue and facial expressions is your trademark. Both are done very well.

Bio-wise, I think you trademark would be your futuristic characters, since I don't see such OCs that often! Your aliens and your Star Wars fan characters in particular stand out to me. I also associate you with mature, adult male characters.

Art-wise, your style stands out to me because of the realism of your faces, especially the way you line the lips and eyes! Speaking of your lines, I also love their texture haha ♥

After reading over your folder summaries and a few bios from randomly selected characters, I think it's safe to say that you're inspired by elements of religion!! You take biblical concepts of Christianity and adapt them to fit a unique narrative, which tends to have humorous components. Even your stories that don't focus on religious reinterpretation have supernatural characters such as angels and demons. You take these ancient concepts of religion that we don't dare change the narrative of, and you do just that by creating modern storylines for historic characters. I think that's very unexpected, which in turn creates very unique stories.

Just a warning for whoever responds to me, I don't write actual stories or plots for my characters so it'll probably be easier to focus on designs agGjhhh

From what it seems like most of your characters don’t have actual bios; so this is going to be based off of design.

But anyways most of your characters have that kind of cute vibe I’d say; there’s a lot of simple designs and fluffy critters with the occassional pastel color palette. I also noticed that most of them are ferals or otherwise not human. And I noticed that your art style could be summed up as cutesy and simple as well!

Lilina

Your characters are mostly based on myths, such as gods and angels, which is a really nice thing you got going on there. Their personality varies on most of your characters, and most of them even have wings and/or white skin, which is another thing that's neat. From your artstyle, the lines aren't very thick, though they are really nice and clean, and the colors you pick are usually dull or bright, but not too much. Finally, the shading is very neat and clean as well.

Most of your characters seem to be cute and fluffy little critters! You have some super unique species, none of them look the same! Your art style is also very adorable and usually features big eyes, which is very fitting to your designs. Blue and purple palettes also seem to be a big favourite of yours. I can feel some video game inspirations (Paper Mario especially) in designs but also in bios! Some characters indeed seem to be "in-universe fictional characters", like Apollo who's from a rubber hose cartoon! Most of your characters are rather innocent-looking at first sight, but their bios sometimes can dwell in darker themes, which is always cool!

Swissy

You're very fond of taking an element from many source such as religion, mythology, even tropes like mary sue and put it in your story in a unique way. You put subtle reference to the original source which makes their stories interesting. And from what i've seen, you dont have any "pure evil" characters. They are either good or morally grey. Your artstyle is also recognizable with those cute round eyes with small chibi bodies! It's really cute

electralserval

I think your watermark is those cute eyes,i think also that they have circle-like heads.
