What is the person above's trademark?

(Related threads: What are your trademark character archetypes, What Do You Like About The Above User's OCs?, ☀️ Say something nice about above user's art)

I often find that a lot of people have themes and signature elements across all their creations that make them identifiable as theirs. There are a few threads around where we get to talk about our own trademarks, but I think it'd also be cool to find out what makes your creations unique and recognisable to other people. You might even learn something you never noticed about your own work!

How to participate: Look through the person above's OCs and works, and tell them what you think their trademark is. How can you always tell that an OC/art/writing was created by them? What stands out about their work that makes it recognisable as theirs, and no one else's?

  • Themes and tropes that they're fond of?
  • Personality types and physical traits that a lot of their OCs share?
  • A recognisable art style?

More detail is always appreciated. You can talk about designs, art style, writing style, and even all of those at once!

Rules:

  • Focus on OC profiles, art, literature and designs. Less focus on details that haven't got much to do with their creative work, e.g. their online identity, icon, profile themes (unless they made them themselves), and posting habits.
  • You can still mention these, of course—just say something about the user's creations first.
  • This is a compliment thread so please be kind and don't take this as an opportunity to diss people!

Art-wise: Cohesive color schemes, usually leaning more toward neutral/muted colors but not always, all wrapped up in a semi-realistic style that still manages to be expressive!

Character-wise: Quite a few strong ladies who are also socially ostracized on some level or just don't quite fit in (Ruthenia, Liss, Marcia, Vesper). You also have a trend of really sweet characters who find themselves in unfair or lonely circumstances (Noma, Adelaide, Hollia, Pala).

Story wise: Oppression and inter-class struggles, the supernatural, or a combination of both.

Overall: Good. Very good. Highly recommend!

AHHH you're too kind, Raddishes!!!! Thank you so much!!

I know I already edited this once, but I can't stop rereading your message. Gaaaaaaah, the fact that you said my characters feel like they're from something and that they feel human is so cool to me?? I can't express how happy I am.

ur trademark has gotta be the little floaty animal head icons that u have! bc almost all of ur OCs have those ones and they immediately make me think of u whenever i see them in the forums :3

First of all, how active you are in all the forums, i always see u around >:0

Second, your drawing style is so unique, idk exactly what about it, but i know it's yours whenever i see it, i think it's the way you draw lips

And last of all, this boii

I'd say a major trademark for you is the colors you use for your characters! They're very vibrant, but not eye-burning at all. Your characters also have at least some unnatural features design-wise, even if it's just the color of the hair (for the humans) or bodies (for the animals).

The first things I think about when I see you around are your YouTube series! I'd say that your trademark reside in the sense of humor your show through it, like the intentional MS Paint art or stereotypical heroes such as Sir Hottie Mc Hottie (I luv him...)

Your regular style is also very iconic! It's trademark would be the round shapes and vibrant colours: it's very cartoony and friendly - looking!

Style wise I think the way you do lineart & eyes is particularly noticeable, like I can always tell by them alone the art is yours! I think with lineart and also shadows there is this certain kind of thickness to them I don't see all that often; I'm used to people going for very thin lines, whereas yours are often bolder and create a nice contrast between the character and the background! Character wise, I have learned to associate you with very unique takes on very known fictional or historical characters! Also, I think wings could totally be counted as your trademark too!

i'd say ur art style as it's incredibly distinctive :0 the round faces and pastel colours, and the big eyes w/ pretty eyelashes! the way u draw eyes especially has got to be ur trademark tbh, they really stand out

Edit: done! Sorry for the wait, I've been sick so I was asleep orz ^^;;

WOW, all your characters are really well put together!! I noticed that all of the ones I looked at are very in depth, you organize them well, and they all have pixels! So I think your trademark is that you put a lot of time and art into your characters to make their bios complete and very interesting to read

Sorry again for the wait! I just woke up ><;

Very well deveoped characters with unique stories and surprising personalities are definitely your trademark! You always write such amazing and detailed descritption which make the characters stand out! Also your characters' icons in your amazing sketchy style you use for them always lets me recognize the characters' as yours immediately! I really love your artstyle, it's just so unique and recognizable!

Most of your characters’ designs tend to be kind of “soft” and some of your characters tend to go against that trend; however I noticed that despite their designs, they all tend to have bios that are kind of sweet; as in there’s not much angst in them. Almost all of your designs are detailed and elegant as well, and most of them have this sort of “painted” aspect to their profile pictures.

Ok, you have a lot of trademarks, actually! (I'm sorry if this is kinda short, I can't type long. ^^") For one thing, your characters' animated icons always let me know they're yours! I love how they look like they're made of moving paper > < And this might sound kind of weird, but I also notice a lot of your characters, especially the male ones, have square jaws and faces! They differ, of course, but it's recognizable. And also, another thing that I think is a theme in your work is a sense of like...magic realism?? In a sense?? Like there are a lot of things in your work that are very fantasy fantasylike but also sort of...urban, I guess. It's hard to describe but something like that!
