Laka's Personality and Position / I1+3

I 01: Write out this character's basic personality + I 03:  Write this character's backstory, how they came to join the territory (or if they were born into it) how their childhood made them who they are
Word Count: 301/300
Earning: 2 white feathers

All her life, through trials and changes, one thing has stayed true for Laka: her wisdom. In her birthpride, it was customary for parents to wait up to two years to give their cubs a fitting name, but Laka's only needed a week. Anyone can tell you that she was truly brilliant from the start, like a reincarnated old soul, although they hate to admit it. Laka outshone all the other cubs with her knowledge and insight and didn't take offense when cubs and parents alike became irriated or called her a know-it-all.

Regardless, when someone had forgot something, Laka would be the one to remind them ("Ukukhohlwa, aren't you supposed to fetch your son from his lesson?") or when an animal broke into the pride's food storages, Laka could tell them what animal did it ("Those droppings look like they came from a male chrysocyon brachyurus... you know, a maned wolf?"). She could even predict the weather without looking at the sky. ("You might not want to go hunting right now. See, all the caterpillars are on the undersides of the leaves, which means it'll probably rain in under an hour.")

Not only could Laka recall even the most minute details, but she sometimes possessed better judgment than the pride elders themselves. When the drought struck near the end of her first year, she taught herself to eat dried grasses and fruit, predicting the famine that was to come. The others called her crazy, though, and Laka was forced to watch them suffer. Even though she received no thanks, she learned from the healer and tended their needs and offered all the advice she could. She would never forget all she learned, as was her way, and would go on to be the wisest healer Ukusizana Pride has ever known.
