Prompt A8 - What would be the emblem/symbol of your pride and why? 50 word minimum

The sun was just beginning to touch the horizon when the pride gathered on the Outlook for the second time that day, although this time on a happier note. Above their heads, glowing like embers in the golden dusk light, was a magnificent work of art. The young lion stood before them, explaining his carving.
"The tree symbolizes the family we have created, united as one as our name suggests. The roots show we all come from different places and the branches show we are still our own lions with our own experiences and stories. The fire instead of leaves actually relates to the founding of this pride, and our fair king's story. I once heard a wise man say, 'The flames of tragedy can refine you... burn off everything until you can finally see what's important.' This seems to be how our king faired. Once alone and lost, he experienced rebirth, as only fire can provide, to see his true purpose. I guess, in a way, it's my story too. Yesterday I was a criminal, today I could've been a dead lion, but I was reborn as a hero. That's what this symbol means."
