The 'Wildly Illogical' Collection

Except it didn't.

Minutes passed, but the world didn't split apart.

The ground didn't violently crack open.

There was no magma. No core exploding the planet into nothingness.

Nicholas ordered something to eat. He survived. The planet survived.

Fucking luck of the Kestrel.

Time itself just decided to step back to save his ass, apparently.

Nicholas burst into laughter, leaving the lady behind the counter worrying about his sanity. He just said it was his nerves. Which it was.

Holy crap.

The world came to an end. Except it didn't. People changed. He changed. He was now.. Part wolf? He could smell the oil in a pan that he could not see. Raw egg slowly becoming a fried and delicious meal.

The aroma of the bacon he realized afterwards that he did in fact ordered it wafted through his nostrils, causing him to slightly drool.

Certainly an exaggerated reaction to bacon. But he couldn't really help himself. He sipped his coffee, again something he didn't realize he ordered until after he did.

Was he just.. Running on auto or something? It felt off to him, but nothing had happened that he had an issue with, so..

The television showed people perplexed, but mostly cheering at the fact they lived. He could see in the crowd many people with animal parts. One was even naked.. Perhaps one of those animals who became humanoid?

It.. Didn't matter.

Nicholas Kestrel survived yet another crazy situation.

...So.. Perhaps it was time to plan revenge? They lost him. He was free to make a plan of attack. His paranoia had made way to an unusual surge of bravery.. Or perhaps foolishness.

But he had to get the cartel off of his back.

Yeah.

It was time to strike back.

After this fried egg with bacon holy hell that smelt good he had to eat that NOW.
