The 'Wildly Illogical' Collection

"It has been a few weeks since the event, now referred to as the Breaking, turned the world upside down. People everywhere have gained animal features, and animals too found themselves changed.. But they have become more human.

Animaloids, as they have become to be known, are becoming all too common across the world. Nations are still debating whether to grant citizenship to those who've only just become more human. As it stands, it is often hard to discover the origin of a formerly animal Animaloid.

There are discussions whether an Animaloid can even be considered human, and the divide is clear. Even politicians who have found themselves to have become Animaloids are debating whether they're still human or not, despite that if the decision is a negative one they themselves would be consider less than human.

Personally, considering the fact that I am still myself, despite my new fox ears and tail, hope that they decide we are, in fact, human. Regardless of what the future will bring, it seems that Animaloids are here and they are here to stay. This was Sydney Renos, for SP News."

Nicholas turned off the television after hearing that. His newfound bravado from weeks ago came to a halt as he realized what would be required to attack the cartel. He was alone, unarmed.. And they had dozens of armed goons.

He also discovered the negative side of being an Animaloid. Running on instinct slowly turns you more into the animal you're portraying. And it's painful. Well, not all the time, but.. His ears had seemingly fused with his head, and he could barely hear anything with it. Meanwhile, the wolf ears on top were sharper than ever.

He had found himself with stronger canines. Fangs, essentially. And a stronger taste for meat. He often had to remind himself that vegetables should also be part of his menu. Though he had no problem eating sugary goodness..

Though that might have just been part of who Nicholas was.

The world seemed the same as ever, but people walking around with animal ears sticking out the top of their head and tails swishing behind them still felt pretty new. Everyone got used to it so fast, yet the mystique lasted.

Either way.. Nicholas had to start planning his life properly. His casino winnings had dried up a while ago, and he couldn't keep living off of meager scams. Perhaps, finally.. Look into getting a job?
