Whew, August already! Time goes by super fast, doesn't it?

I'd like to start off by saying I am super happy with our community right now!! We've grown so much and people seem to be really happy with it.. thank you... single teardrop

Anyhow, here's the monthly bulletin!

FREE MYO EVENT-- CLOSED!

Our launch MYO event is coming to a close! If you'd like to pick up your own ticket, head over HERE!This event ends at 1:30 PM server time (PST).

If you happened to JUST miss it by a little when it closes, that's alright! Just let me know that and I can give you a little grace period if you're a little unfortunate.

The event is now CLOSED! Remember, your tickets become tradeable on the 10th!

Remember, there is NO deadline to submit the art for the event. Take your time drawing! The important thing is that you've made a comment before it ends, and if you did, you're free to submit whenever you like!

NEW WORLD CODING

You might've noticed our front-page looks a little different now! The amazing artbymaxm has made us a custom code (along with some CSS edits) to use on our World. It looks so good with our theme, and I'm beyond happy with how it turned out! Check it out if you haven't yet, it's cool! (PS. clicking "YES" in the customer review section lets you talk to a special someone... ;)

Also, shout out to LyraDoodles who has made us an animated piece of Lola that I'm using on the front page, and 4nikai who made the little head icons I'm using for the character list.

NEW TRAITS: MUTATIONS

I've added a few new things you can check out in the basic traits-- mutations! These include a living animal brain, shaped pits, and non solid or liquid veils or tentacles. If you wanted to use these on your jelly, don't worry! Since these are newly traited, anyone who got their ticket from the free MYO event can use these three traits for free, but new creations with tickets not from the free event (including tickets INITIALLY OBTAINED in the free event, but TRADED FOR LATER) must consume a mutation upgrade to have them.

NEW AFFILIATION: ROSENDIELS (CROSSBREED RAFFLE!)

We are now affiliated with the newly-launched Rosendiels, and we're super honoured to be so! Charvier has created this lovely CROSSBREED RAFFLE that's free to enter (though with a few requirements, but most of you fellows here should've done a decent amount of it already.

Some of you may have noticed the mysterious NUMBERS page that has appeared in the TRUE LORE section of the world. Well...

Our Discord has already cracked the code (it was nice watching y'all do it.) BUT! There's more to come... be on the lookout for some new puzzles to solve and articles to read! (In a little-- writing is very time consuming, actually...)

MYO SALES (+ RARE TICKET RAFFLE?)

That's right, you can now have EVEN MORE JELLIES! Tickets of all rarities will be sold. Be on the lookout-- sales will happen on the 18th of every other month, so our next sale will be on August 18! 

Remember that MYO sales are NON-PROFIT-- your money goes directly to supporting ocean charities and I do not make a single cent.

GUEST ARTIST APPLICATIONS

Want to draw adopts for our species? Well, look no further!

Just fill out THIS FORM HERE to apply. All your profits are yours to keep! Being a GA also comes with the sweet perk of grabbing a nice MYO at the end of each month you're with us-- common if you've made one adopt, uncommon if you've made two, rare if you've made three. 

I'm looking to get 2-3 for this month, and as much as I'd like to accept everybody, too much GAs genuinely becomes hard to manage (Lucas learned this from his experience in Chiivae.) If you don't get picked for this month, that's alright-- you'll always get a chance next month!

GA apps are now CLOSED! Thank you to everyone who filled out the form. Again, don't worry if you didn't get picked-- trust me, it was a really tough decision since spots are so little! There's always next month, so don't give up.

Well, August is actually a pretty busy month for me, so apologies if everything is looking a little slow-- I'm optimistic though, and in the future I'll be able to do much more!~ Stay tuned... see you next time!

Whoo! First week of launch. I'm beyond satisfied with the way things are going-- thank you all so much for the support!

Anyhow, this bulletin is just to notify everyone of a few things that'll happen.

BRIEF HIATUS-- VACATION

I'll be going on vacation from today (it's 12AM as I'm writing this; I'm gonna go to sleep and then leave when I wake up) till July 14, though I'll likely take that day off as well. In the meantime, I will not be handing out tickets. Feel free to enter in the event, but I won't be able to provide you with your MYO comment, and I won't be able to do any masterlist management. Sorry!

I will still be available for contact on here or on Discord should you need me for anything, but expect slower responses.

NEW FEATURES

I have a few new things planned; the list below is in order of... what would likely be implemented first?

Jelly games-- similar to the Forum Games; find it in this world's forums. Technically I've already added this, I'm just promoting it a little here/I plan to add more games to them.

F2U Jelly base-- self explanatory.

More lore-- more lore? More lore.

Sleeping form-- if you haven't read the lore yet, there's a section that describes "sleeping" (different from dark zone) jellies forming beds and blankets with their veils. This was added to lighten the otherwise dark mood a little bit. I'll get to making visuals for these.

Currency and community events-- yeehaw, money. For those that don't or can't pay to get MYO tickets and upgrades! My idea (and this was taken from the Suggestion channel of the Discord) is that instead of a traditional monthly prompt, to earn currency you would have to draw art for Jellies owned by others. This is to keep it consistent with the "donation" theme of the species. Please let me know what you think-- of course, there will be an option to "opt out" and have your Jelly unavailable for art, if you don't wish to receive it.

MYO sales-- obviously won't be happening while the free MYO event is still ongoing (psst, have you joined yet? free stuff!!) but eventually I'll be selling some tickets. The current idea is $10 for a common, $12.50 for an uncommon, and $15 for a rare. Let me know if you think this should be higher or lower.

AAAAAND THAT'S A WRAP! Thank you so much to everyone who has participated, but this event is now CLOSED. I can provide a bit of grace for people who just missed the deadline by a little, but for the most part, no new tickets will be handed out from this point. Your tickets will be tradeable on the 10th!

If you're still making art, take your time! There is NO DEADLINE for submitting art for an extra upgrade, given you've already commented here before the event closed.

JELVEILS LAUNCH-- FREE MYO EVENT!

Oh geez. It's been quite the wait, hasn't it?

Anyhow, MilkHunterNKG and I are super pleased to launch our CS! For this event, everyone can claim a COMMON slot for free, but you can complete various little tasks to obtain trait upgrades... including the Mutation upgrades, which are event-only!

There's just a handful of rules and other info we'll go over, so make sure you've read the entire bulletin before commenting.

EDIT: PLEASE keep in mind that tickets are NOT handed out immediately. They will be sent all at once every few days. If you didn't receive your ticket yet, I haven't missed you! Please wait patiently. You're free to start designing without the ticket yet, though!

EVENT RULES
Read them carefully!

1. Tickets can only be re-traded ONE WEEK after the event ends. Do not resell unused tickets.
2. One entry per person only! You cannot enter for a friend.
3. There is NO EXPIRATION DATE to these tickets! Take your time designing!
4. You may use the ticket to make an AU of an existing character, or to commission a custom from another artist.
5. Trait upgrades cannot be combined. Two uncommon upgrades do not equate to a rare upgrade.
6. Feel free to upload a character profile for your ticket (linking back to your comment for proof is recommended.)
7. Please read this guide on how to submit your MYO!
8. This event will end ONE MONTH after it begins, on AUGUST/03/2022.

HOW CAN I CLAIM MY FREE TICKET?

Doing ALL of the below would grant you one lovely COMMON MYO!

1. Join our World (this one that this bulletin's in!)
2. Share a bulletin linking either to this bulletin, or the thread that links here.
3. Comment here using the form below and you're done! Lucas will reply to you with your ticket (screenshot/link it for proof.)

• Join our Discord server!
• Tag a friend (up to 3, one trait upgrade for each one you tag!)
• Leave a favourite on Lola's profile!

• Subscribe to kirchhoff and/or MilkHunterNKG (one upgrade for each person you sub to :3c)
• Make art of any of the official Jelveils HERE! No "minimum" really, but feel free to put in as much effort as you like ;) (up to three pieces, one trait upgrade for each!)
  • It's alright to claim the free common ticket/other trait upgrades first, and then come back and claim the upgrades from the art later! Try to reply to your initial claiming comment when claiming these upgrades.
    • NOTE: If you're planning to come back, I'll give you the ticket and its upgrades WITHOUT including the art first, but when you come back and reply, I'll edit accordingly!
    • There is NO deadline for the art, and you are free to submit it after the MYO event ends.
  • If you're doing art, PLEASE send it to the characters' respective profiles!

NOTE: If you don't end up using every trait upgrade that you claimed, feel free to "save them for later". However, this will require you to link back to this comment, should you ever use them in the future. Also yes, you can use the rare/mutation upgrade for an uncommon trait!
