Reproduction doesn't exist in my Mobius, by doing the do. It's a clean system instead, as my mobians do not have any genitals.
If 2 people who love eachother wish upon a child on a starry night, chances are, their wish will be heard and their child will be either in front of their doorstep or be brought inside, if a window or door is open.
It purely depends on a person's belief, on how the child is delivered. Either an angel or demon brings them, or a completely different god or spirit. If they don't believe in such, simply noone will come, the child will just be born, without anyone looking over them.

For a child to be born, parent A and parent B both need to deeply desire one. Just both thinking about it, is enough to make it be born, as the infatuation counts, over the thought-matter.
If both either speak or think their wish, it will be granted, so long both wish for one. As another cultural saying goes for them; "wish upon a future, only if what the future holds, will be ready for your decision.", in other words; You decide, if it happens or not.
Due to that system, any-sex couples can get any-gender children. It's why being gay, lesbian, bi, pan, etc. Is a norm in mobius nowadays, as they're used to this highly-open system of any gender couple acceptance, determined by fate herself.
If two partners have the same thought though at once on a night where a shloting star fell, chances are, they might accidentally birth a child that they didn't want that much, just by imagining it what it'll be like, which is why the their traditional saying warns them, not to do so, unless you're ready.
If partners see a shooting star, their wish will always be granted, outside of Comallt Nights aswell.
If it's a polyamerous system, multiple people have to hold hands together and wish at the same time, though they do get children, just like the rest, just need to adapt with a small trick.
Children can be asked to be born to look more after their father or mother, if both think about it, if they do not both specifically wish for it, the child will come out purely by wish;
If a father wishes for a child more than the mother, the child will look more like the father for example, the other way around and vice versa with looking closer to their siblings if those want them more.
The children tend to be in baskets, with letters being congratulated by their bringer/protector of choice and a small lifelong gift for the family, to bring fortune. Depending on nationality and culture, it fluctuates on what it is.
Some angels, get assigned to protect children, that are special-need for example or have a disability, those by nature have always an invisible guardian, watching after them, if the parents can't.
Those who have no protector, still get a basket though, so the child can stay warm and comfortable. Angels always look after newborn children, specifically, the deity who brings the Comallt Nights, ensures, that the children have baskets yet the angels who put them into said baskets, will leave at their homes without them.
If the question "what if they won't notice?" is in your mind, don't worry. They will. Children always scream when delivered for the first time. They act like alarms and if that isn't enough, sometimes an unassigned deliverer will still knock or bring it inside. If noone is home, it simply won't be delivered until they are. There are plenty of spirits always watching a household and when they arrive, especially on a Comallt Night.
