To summarize as best as I can: Humans and Kemons don't like each other.
Rarely will you see a Kemon put their superiority complex aside for a human and a human the stigma of them being mutated monsters aside, in order for them to be friends or partners.
Those who do not mind, get shunned by society, as well as either get bullied or ostracised out of a city/town.
To mend the living standards that cannot be pre-determined by politicians and governments alike, kemons and humans get split apart into town-sections or simply are forced to move into different cities or towns.
In some instances, towns and villages primarily, exist, whom accept both, yet have to be segregated by law, to “assure safe space-requirements are met for each species, and to avoid any sort of discrimination and stigmas”. Said law though, has lead to more troubles, than the ultimate goal of keeping peace among both communities.
In certain countries like America (the entire North-American nation actually as a whole), where kemons are banned from existing as a whole, get deported to a new country, as to not break official-made laws.
Those who choose to keep them, get deported as well, once found out. There is no mercy for breaking the law. Those who continue to protest, get arrested.
