also known as the raven man. coletun was a well-known and respected member of a carrion coven, who fell from grace, plunging the entire height he’d climbed in success down to hit the bottom. the carrion covens manage under their head witch, who in a state of undeath sits perched upon a throne, serving as a gateway to the afterlife. coletun was an expert diviner, and came and went as he pleased — even the human world had a reckoning with him every once a while. he aimed for greatness, for fame, and to be known.

after an unfortunate incident, of which no one quite knows the details, coletun‘s mind seemed to have snapped with the ease of a piece of string. he then entered one incident to the other, and became actively hostile to all those who crossed him. he strayed from his coven, and began to form a resentment towards it. a man once known for his prowess, coletun now resented all of magic, it would seem, as he actively began to disrupt institutions. coletun became a nuisance, a pest to encounter in the uncharted lands, which he walked aimlessly. it came to a climax when he simply showed up in a harbor town one day, tossed every man overboard a simple sailboat, and set sail out into the fog of the sea.

when he returned, he became unstoppable — he entered a madman’s rampage, causing destruction with powers previously unknown from him. it was only then that the carrion coven came with an order to have him assassinated, and burn all his journals. the words within were far better off unknown, and the coven’s witches knew better than to disobey.

coletun’s life was snuffed out like a candle, and, funnily enough, death seems to have pacified him a bit. unlike most ghosts, he shows no signs of forgetting the events of his life, but nonetheless his madness seems to have faded with the wind, as if satisfied with the outcome. despite his plain expression, he almost seems to be having a little fun with what he does. coletun continues to divine the future to those who ask him, and though he speaks in riddles, his answers are always correct, in one way or another. those who know what’s good for them shouldn’t dare pry: you’ll wish he’d never have told you.
