Aoki is exactly what you get from what you see. She is an easygoing to outgoing tomboy (you can tell she's old we use gnc now girlfriend) who is straightforward with everything she says. She has a very "tells it how it is" attitude, and doesn't like to waste her breath on massive and confusing explanations and likes to get to the bottom of things. With this attitude comes an incredible heart of gold, and an incredibly reliable woman that's ready to take anyone troubled in as her own family. While she might appear rambunctious, she's actually relatively chilled out, pretty comedic, scatterbrained and easily distracted, and sometimes lazy throughout her day to day life, excluding her obligations. She deals with situations by letting it ride out, and then either respond how she feels is appropriate, or let the other party figure out what they truly need on their own. Aoki likes to encourage people, but has never been a forceful person and believes in giving people (emotional) space; she knows that it is impossible for others to like everything she sees heart in. Her harmless yet reliable demeanor is what makes Hime and Ouka honest of what they truly desire.
Aoki is easily the most old-fashioned out of the Sado Girls, from her vernacular to her simplistic values. While she is good at adjusting to city life, she's not particularly amazing at it and can find it quite disorienting. When she has the motivation to, she loves to fish for her own food and prepare it her own self just like she used to in Sado, for example. Otherwise, she'll either make trips to several fish markets or probably just order food out...hahh chicken bars and popcorn a luxury few can afford. She has a strong value on family and will always be there to protect those she considers as such (and she is incredibly strong too, almost a bit over In-Birth strength, so please don't try anything. This is for your own safety.) If something or someone is threatening people she cares about, her fists will be the first thing it makes contact with.
Underneath this reliable but very distracted personality belies an extremely love obsessed woman who would literally fight to the death to discover what she thinks is true love. She was relatively sheltered from romantic forms of love back in Sado, and learned about the deeper meaning of it in her late teens. Since then, she has been searching to find what true romance is; she has fought with people hand-to-hand that she believed could answer her neverending dispute within herself. She eventually got exhausted and bored with using combat to find love, so she gave up training and just tried to search the meaning of love on her own. She realized that everything she cares about is a form of true love the day Nodoka left the quartet out of almost thin air. It was her first experience of heartbreak. She has bad abandonment issues from it, even more so with the other two moving to mainland Niigata while Aoki stayed in Sado by her lonesome. She has recovered from her slump, but now it's made her...very very physically affectionate, almost cuddly, and very daydreamy. Sometimes these are good things, but other times she has to relearn physical boundaries...oops! She is still trying to find what true romantic love is. (no one tell her that she eventually does!)

- Aoki's biggest "cute" obsessions are every eel that has ever existed, blackspotted pufferfish, and whale sharks. She mostly became a fisherman mostly because she wanted to see how cute they were in person, by the way.
- On that note, she's very good at fishing but she. She could definitely be better. She keeps getting stung by stupid avoidable nonsense

- Aoki is actually quite the powerhouse for a regular human! Her hand to hand combat strength is somewhere between Mika and Enkidu levels. However, she stopped doing martial arts because she became obsessed with love and wanted to do something else instead. Her muscle memory and strength is very there though, so don't mess with her.
- She tends to dress more masculine and by all means is very non-conforming, but she very occasionally wears wrap skirts, usually when she is at the bottom of the barrel for clean clothes, at the beach, or a special occasion. She likes them, but just not her thing to wear constantly. She likes more boyish styles.

- She's the oldest of the Sado Girls merely because she was a part time university student and took a long...long...long time to even finish undergraduate studies by the time the other three enrolled.

When her hair isn't short from manifestation, it is long, a bit messy and spiked. The bottom half of her hair is usually in one big braid.
Aoki's life in Sado was relatively mundane. She comes from a background of both Brazilian and Sado born Japanese relatives. Family has always been an important staple of her home, and it shows through how she acts today. Her martial art prowess comes from the Brazilian side, and her fishing skills and classic routines comes from the Sado side. However, after learning about love, she started to use her combat skills to find what it really means, slowly developing her obsession with all things love. Unsurprisingly, this got her nowhere, so she quit training and just focused on fishing. She eventually went to university for her sudden interest in choreography and to also maybe get a fishing permit. For real this time. She would meet Hina, Tomoe, and Nodoka, her dorm mates, and they all got close. Aoki was utterly heartbroken and dealt with abandonment issues once Nodoka left, and even more so when Hina and Tomoe left to find work in mainland Niigata. She was left all alone in Sado, until she eventually moved to Kanzakai for choreography work. All the Sado Girls would reunite there by coincidence, and Aoki finally gets closure on Nodoka's whereabouts. After some emotion filled conversation and worries of Nodoka's current...pasttime, all 3 agreed to help out in any way possible. Though Hime and Ouka were incredibly frightened of Aoki, Aoki wanted them to know that she is always there for them to lean on whenever they choose to, "no pressure." At this point, it was less to help Nodoka out, but letting the pair know that they have a family here with her. Their loneliness and misfortune squeezed the empathy right out of her, as someone that also had bouts of loneliness herself.
Hime decides to get closer to Aoki, whether it be through cooking, watching TV, or just talking about whatever comes to mind (in which, Aoki keeps up EXTREMELY well with Hime's quick switching. Probably because she also can't stick to one topic ever adhd queen) Hime realizes that she's gotten so comfortable with Aoki that she didn't even mind physical touch, and one night gets very physically defensive and slashes at her. Aoki only comments on how much it hurts before chuckling, before Hime freaks out at what she has done and runs outside the front door. Aoki sits out front with her, and just comforts her as one normally would, in her own straightforward way. This makes them grow even more closer, so much so that even Ouka begins to notice it and gets a tad jealous.
Ouka decides to get closer to Aoki much, much slower than Hime does, even fearing for her with the idea that she'll get hurt. He remains distant and only makes small talk if necessary (or if he has a dorky moment where he needs to talk about his own feelings on something.) It's Aoki and Hime's closeness that makes him a bit jealous and needy to his true desire: companionship with the both of them together. He starts to entertain their activities, which culminates into him breaking down and admitting he wants to be as close to Aoki as Hime is, but is scared the both of them will be hurt. Aoki persistently tries to let him know that she would never hurt them, and that even if they accidentally hurt her or something or other, she still accepts them and will know they're not intending to hurt. Hime nods, saying that everything she said is true and has experienced it herself. After a bit of wailing and crying, Ouka realizes she means no harm and believes that she truly is accepting of them. He thanks Aoki for her incessant reassurance, and all Aoki responds with is a hearty "ah, shucks. It's nothin." All happens in front of a clothing store btw. Hime and Ouka were worried why she took so long to get home and learned what "overtime" is. All three continue to get close, and Hime and Ouka are able to create an easygoing and loving life with Aoki. You'll commonly find them shopping for weird stuff to entertain themselves with at home or fishing; taking an invitation to go to a festival or outing with other Voids on an exceptionally good day.
"Ahhh! Hime's ears are so cute and pettable! And Ouka's face is so sweet and tender! Ahh! They're perfect! All they do is smother mee! I'll die like this! ♡"
MISS GIRL CALM DOWN. Anyways, Aoki, just like Hime and Ouka, are also as enraptured with the two of them as they are towards her. When she saw them for the first time, she could feel their almost suffocating loneliness and fear of others. Aoki took them in, not to take weight off of Nodoka's shoulders, but because she knew what they needed was a friend to lean on and not to be itemized as the Lab Committee made them feel. She wanted to show them that they deserve love and acceptance from the outside world, as someone that felt abandoned and unworthy of love before. Hime and Ouka were incredibly avoidant of her beyond mandatory conversation (which Aoki didn't mind, but had concerns for them,) but Hime eventually realizes that Aoki is (unsurprisingly) very harmless, isn't even associated with the Lab Committee, and is just looking out for the pair. Ouka follows suite after some vague jealousy of watching Aoki and Hime, and all three grow close and affectionate towards each other after Hime and Ouka open up. All three love each other very much, but Aoki goes batshit crazy and lovesick whenever they let her touch them or they smother her in love please calm down i know youre love starved but
"Hey! You broke my damn tv! And my table! Get yer ass back here!"
Aoki's on a hunt. That's all.
"Oh yeah! She's a ton a fun to have around, never a dull moment with this chick! Bugs and stuff included, never really understood the fear of em! I'mma fisherman, so the little critters don't bother me one bit."
Unexpected close friends. Aoki does like having a pal to rely on that's not from Sado. She takes quite the liking to Ruru's personal hobby and has thick skin towards it as someone that has also probably seen equally as fucked up creatures underwater. She also is very thankful for her help on saving some random eel for her because it was washed up on shore. Ruru would benefit from making less poisonous food for Aoki though...but other than that, they have a fun time together.
"Me and Nodoka go way back in college! I was sad when she suddenly just...left! We're all back together though, the four of us, so I'm allll good now. Love this girl!"
Nodoka and Aoki were dorm mates in college in Sado. They were quite close and were the most inseperable out of all the Sado Girls. Aoki was heartbroken when Nodoka suddenly left, but finally got her well deserved closure. She is a bit worried about Nodoka's involvement with Hollow Night related issues though, Aoki really hopes she's not stressing herself out...
"It's more fun when you get out, ain't it? Feel free to stop by! I'll cook and everything, and I dunno, we can go to store or something? Ehh, your style is more country than that? Oh, thank God! Me too!"
Aoki likes Tsujino a lot, especially once learning she's a real country girl at heart. Not to knock down Nodoka and Ruru, but they are much more accustomed to city life than her, so she can genuinely do whatever with Tsujino and she'll follow in lockstep enthusiastically. When they hang out together, they always have a very specific way of messing around. They culturally just have a click, you know? Tsujino is still a little neurotic though, so they aren't around each other too much and Tsujino can put herself in a corner if overwhelmed too much. Aoki knows this, and is always waiting for whenever she is ready. Aoki does admittedly worry that she'll get too ambitious and do something outlandish again, but Tsujino has been doing well for herself after the void-to-human incident, so she doesn't think on it too much.
"Ehhh? Fighting spirit inside of me? Oh, nahh, I stopped doing all that a while back, probably before you were born! Ahh, don't look so bummed out, maybe you can get little Mogu to come over and we can watch a movie or somethin', hm?"
Kumako can feel all of Aoki's fighting skills within her, but Aoki keeps rejecting any moves she makes. She always offers her and Mogu to stay for a while though, she doesn't mind if they do.
"Look at this sailfish I got! Ain't she beautiful? You can grill it, and I'll...do everything else! Hahaha!"
They don't hang a lot, but when they do, they're always on good standing with each other and tend to catch and cook fish together. Taka is worried that some of them...she shouldn't eat as a human though. She needs to stop messing with opahs, perhaps.
"(W-What do you mean vampires are real!? Dear heavens on Earth, please, I barely gotta clue on what Voids and stuff are still, this is too much.)"
She is very perplexing to Aoki. Nothing much going on with them. Bernadette senses raw untainted purity from her though.
"Huh? My powers reflect my purity? Wait, what powers? Tell Nodoka she's their hope now? Wait, wait a minute, don't leave, I have no clue what you're even talkin' about!"
