Loretta's Links
When she first met Alcott, she felt a kinship between them. Both betrayed in brutal ways by those they gave everything for. Even if she uses her powers just a bit, would it not be for the best if Alcott could settle the score with his brother?
Loretta seems like a sweet woman, and it matches her shop. What intrigues him the most, though, is how she knows his brother-- or more importantly, how she also dislikes him for what he'd done. At first Alcott had thought to move on, but with her ideas... maybe he can get proper closure...
If she could chase him out of her shop with a broom like an animal, she would. Nikolai causes nothing but trouble around her bakery, and yet for some reason she keeps letting him come and get his coffee. Old habits die hard, she supposes, reluctantly referring to him as "friend". She knows he doesn't like her "helping" Alcott, but she has her own goals to fulfill, with or without his approval
Oh, but Loretta is SO much fun to tease! He loves to laze around in her bakery and tease her while seeing her face frozen in place all the time. Sometimes he'll egg on the hopeless romantics at her store to go on and get her gifts and admit their love to her, then grabs himself a coffee to watch the fireworks.
The only time he finds himself getting serious, though, is when Alcott is involved. He can't say he particularly approves of her ideas for him.
Loretta already has disdain for the idea of the sin of Greed, being what caused her fall in the first place. Knowing of Jet's betrayal of his brother, however, makes her blood boil. She makes no moves to hide her disgust.
Jet's aware of Loretta's feelings towards him, she doesn't hide it and even if she did, he's seen enough poker games to read through the best of poker faces. He doesn't care whether she approves of his past or not. They're Sins, none of them are using their powers for good.
NV triggers a sort of maternal instinct within Loretta, and the exact reason for that she can't pinpoint. Maybe because as an actress, envy was a feeling she knew most closely...? She knows their complicated feelings around her, so she doesn't push. Still, she leave them some sweets if they ever want some.
Loretta is everything NV wishes they could be: beautiful, strong, skilled, loved. They hate her for it, they admire her for it, and they fear her for it. They want to be her so badly, but for the sin of Envy, the idea of rumors spreading about them to influence people to hate them is perhaps their biggest fear, so they keep a distance around her all the time.
Khaso tickles her so, so similar to Lan and yet so uniquely his own person. She is acutely aware of his son's crush on her, and tries her best to brush off his clumsy advances. In return, she gets to hear all about his exploits, whether he's aware of the entertainment it brings her. She'll be ready with the donuts.
[Employer] Once Lan was gone it was Khaso's turn to manage the Sins, including Wrath. She's sweet and kind... on the outside. He knows full well she's not someone to intimidate.
Even he admits that she's incredibly beautiful, but that's more of a problem for his poor lovestruck son, so Khaso comes by frequently to make sure she's setting up boundaries for En. These visits always end the same way, though: a mini-therapy session with him stress-eating donuts while talking about a certain knight.
Loretta will always be grateful to Lan. In her moment of deepest sorrow and rage, a time when she thought that she had nothing left to live for, he gave her back her power. He gave her back her dignity. When on the stage, she never gave less than 100% of herself, and she will continue to do so in her new position.
[Employer] He'd seen her drop to her lowest point in her home's own lowest point. The emptiness she felt, surrounded by all the bitter emotions he'd created, seemed like the perfect vessel for insatiable Wrath. Lan believes it was a wise choice giving her that volatile Sin, and that she's done well to control it while also subtly spreading its influence.
