Jet Northwind's Links
[Related/Rivals] Alcott's younger brother, who also sold him off to make money. Jet feels bad, of course, but has spent so much time alone and obsessed with money that he doesn't really know the appropriate way to handle this situation.
So instead he angrily glares from a distance.
Incidentally, if you ship someone with Jet, you'll find yourself insta-locked in a love triangle, with Alcott competing for your heart.
[Related/Rivals] Jet's older brother. He did everything he could to keep them safe, only to get sold off like some cattle. Whatever happened when he was sold made Alcott have a scorching hatred for his brother, although he can't necessarily kill him seeing as though Jet bought his freedom back.
If you try to ship someone with Alcott, you'll be insta-locked into a love triangle with Jet aiming for your heart, too.
[Rival] Jet owns a very large portion of the shares in Reggie's main stores, so he often visits to inspect things. He'll always try to raise prices or to scam customers, but Reggie just HAS to get in the way. Something about treating customers like people, or something. It's annoying.
And I ship them.
It's not canon
but I D K
[Rival] Reggie loves helping his customers and making sure they're all taken care of. It makes it really difficult when a greedy, corrupt businessman like Jet tries to ruin it. The man is very powerful, too, so Reggie's managerial powers don't effect him as much. But that doesn't mean he'll just stand there and let the jerk ruin everything!
I love them and consider them my OTP. It's not canon, but boi it just might be.
One of the biggest thorns in Jet's side is the Master Thief. Even his Sin powers can't stop that dumb jerk from his stupid heists. He'll catch that Master Thief if it's the last thing he does!
What more could a thief ask for than a guy as rich as Jet? Jackson LOVES to steal from Jet's businesses, especially his casinos. And the reactions? Priceless.
They're coworkers, in a way, with him being Greed and Nikolai Sloth. The lazy guy visits very rarely, but when he does he's absolutely annoying to the CEO. He flirts with all the workers, including him! AND HIS BROTHER!! That is, if he's not sleeping somewhere. Despite how much of a bum he is, Jet can't help but feel like Nikolai's already a step ahead of him.
With both being Sins, they're coworkers. Nikolai doesn't visit very often, though when he does he finds Jet's bursts of anger more amusing rather than irritating like everyone else does. He enjoys teasing the man, though he himself never plays the slots. That requires too much focus. No, he'd rather watch the magic shows and guest stars.
[Related] Jet always knew his brother couldn't keep it in his pants, but damn, FIVE kids? Hell, probably more! The CEO isn't very good with kids, even less so with angsty teens/young adults. He does enjoy trying to scam Motto now and then, or to dig up dirt on his dad, or sometimes just knowing what kids like so he can properly scam them. It always ends the same way, though: getting punched by Alcott as soon as he sees Jet close to his son.
He doesn't believe that this guy is his uncle. There's always something that seems off every time he sees/talks to him.
Although, he seems to enjoy watching his dad beat him up.
[Employee] Jet didn't know what to think when he first met Lan, but before he could react, the man's soothing voice told him of an offer he couldn't refuse. House the soul of a Sin and make more money than he could hope to imagine. It was tempting, and who was Jet to tell him no? Ever since then the CEO hasn't seen Lan, but he can't help but feel like he's being watched sometimes.
[Boss] When Lan heard about the man that had sold his brother off, he was intrigued. He followed the young man around, watching him grow and allow avarice to guide his decisions. Someone like that was perfect for Greed's soul, and so Lan approached Jet with an interesting deal.
"You're paying for the wedding."
"This is my greedy husband."
Jet had always had an interest in Aysun and the crowd he pulled in ever since an incident that occurred. Imagine his luck when that same man comes to him for help. Jet happily granted him Lust's soul in exchange for getting the Sin to control that body and sell it. Unfortunately for him, Nikolai was able to stop it.
After an unfortunate event Aysun found himself severely impaired and weakened. Frustrated with both helplessness and his father not helping, he turned to another Sin, Jet. Jet promised him the powers of another Sin which would also heal him in turn for serving as a host. Aysun accepted, getting possessed by Lust.
Luck always plays a great deal into the game of chance, and when you're on the corporate side, misfortune is your best friend. Lure people in with ideas of grandeur and riches, then sweep it all out underneath them with the help of some bad luck! Jet's very happy to have Missy on his team, and her reports from the casino he left her in charge of never cease to amaze him.
Missy sees Jet as her boss and really nothing more. She doesn't hold any disdain for him, but she's not necessarily affectionate either. Maybe business casual is the best way to put it...? Either way, she's still very grateful to him for giving Lady and her a place to work where they could truly thrive.
Fortune Demons are always a rare sight to behold, and when Jet saw them he just knew he had to nab them. He gave each their casino and was pleased he did so. Both ladies have excellent skills they bring to work, whether causing a customer misfortune in losing all their money, to boosting foot traffic with the amount of people leaving, believing they're "lucky". He's happy with what Lady's done to one of his casinos, and looks forward to making a good fortune out of good fortune.
Lady always gets very excited whenever Jet is in the picture. How couldn't she? The Sin is just too cool!! She sees him almost like a celebrity, even considering he's her boss. Just because she works for him doesn't make him any less of a total hero in her mind!! After all, he did leave Missy and her in charge; how is that NOT cool??
[Related] Her uncle. He still can't believe Alcott has five kids.
[Related] She vaguely knows about her uncle, though Alcott and Motto never really talk about him.
Gustav is such easy prey it's almost sad. Jet knows full well about his gambling problem, which is why it's only suitable to hold the meeting in the casino, right? He's also a weak guy, and with the help of Jet's hand picked managers, the guy's nothing but putty. He'll sign those paychecks without even looking, which is great for Greed because those numbers are always higher than what he actually reports with.
Jet is the one Sin Gustav has the hardest time meeting with. The Sin owns a casino, and he always insists on meeting there. Gustav is well aware it's to take advantage of his problem, but... he can't help it either. And he gets surrounded by gorgeous women each time too! Most of the time he forgets about the meetings entirely and just signs the paycheck.
Jet is vaguely aware of Mr. TV. He knows he wants something, he just doesn't know what. He finds the man strolling through the casino occasionally, but the longer Jet's watched him, the more he's learned that he's not going there for pleasure. He's learning.
Greed is such a raw emotion. Imagine using it to amplify Camera Lens. Or better yet, imagine unleashing people's inner greed on film! Their logic torn apart with a need for selfish gain, a brilliant marriage between reality TV and game shows! And all the while the internet stars would try to mimic such attitudes in order to get famous too, making him more powerful.
This imp... she was the one that caused everything in Jet's life. She was the one that conned him when he was a kid and took his brother. It's all her fault and she's RIGHT there. What do you do when you're standing in front of the person who took everything from you?
Sweet, silly, stupid little Jet. Even though he's gotten older and more powerful since their last meeting, Ginny knows he's still that same cowardly kid that sold his brother to her to save his own skin all those years ago. Takes great pleasure in taunting him over it.
That annoying cashier is always complaining about this and that. Oh boo hoo! So what if a customer was rude? Who cares! Just make them happy and bring in the money!
A good ole corporate bigwig that doesn't know what the cashiers go through and doesn't care to. She hates him with all her heart and hopes he gets his just desserts.
Teddy had the looks and the charm to be an excellent escort, so with the help of some sinful powers Jet found himself hiring him for that exact position. Things were going great until he noticed just how chummy he'd gotten with Alcott. They had a better relationship than Jet had hoped he could foster with his REAL brother. It pissed him off. So he worked Teddy to the bone. He would have continued to do so had another club owner not gotten in the way.
Jet is nothing but a bastard in Teddy's eyes. The lowest of the low. Teddy already had a low opinion of him when he was first hired as an escort, but when Jet started to take his jealousy out on him, any shred of positive feeling flew out the window. Teddy could never see him again and it would still be too soon.
Jet hates Cor. He's Greed-- GREED! HE should be the one with the biggest, strongest, money-draining, life-destroying business! Weird thing about it all is that Greed's own voice tends to get quieter whenever Cor is around...
Greed, Greed, Greed. Is this what the Sins are doing nowadays? Adorable.
That is the form Jet takes when utilizing the full extent of his powers. It's also how he views Avarice the few times they interact.
Avarice is the Full Sin form of Jet's, and also serves as a close representation to the Sin's (current) preferred look.
He's still really bitter towards Nikolai for turning her into a human too, though the reason behind it is something he can get behind: gambling. He already makes money of Greyhound now, but to win something extra by betting on which rabbit/human Tilla will pick? It's almost too easy. OBVIOUSLY she'll pick Greyhound because HE was the one to turn him human!
Whenever she's with Greyhound or Kon, she'll see this man around sometimes. He's a friend of Nikolai, right? Then he must be just as giving and selfless as him, too! Considering he's the one who also gave Greyhound the ability to turn human!
[Related] Never had Jet thought he'd have a family, he always thought that would be too much of a distraction from his job. Then he held newborn Penny in his arms and completely changed. He gave up his Sin just to admit how much he loved his daughter and was more than willing to give up his life as a result, but Fate had other plans.
Penny is the only one Jet wouldn't think twice about spending money on.
[Related] Penny adores her papa. He makes her life the best that it possibly can be. When he gave up his Sin just to tell her he loved her out loud at her request...she never felt more guilt and regret than in that moment.
Jet's aware of Loretta's feelings towards him, she doesn't hide it and even if she did, he's seen enough poker games to read through the best of poker faces. He doesn't care whether she approves of his past or not. They're Sins, none of them are using their powers for good.
Loretta already has disdain for the idea of the sin of Greed, being what caused her fall in the first place. Knowing of Jet's betrayal of his brother, however, makes her blood boil. She makes no moves to hide her disgust.
NV's a freak in Jet's eyes. They weren't even meant to be a Sin in the first place, so why they stay as one is beyond him. One thing's for sure, though, they're not allowed in ANY of the stores he owns, and that goes a hell of a lot beyond just casinos. Too bad that freak steals faces, it's hard to tell just who's who sometimes.
NV admires Jet's self-preservation. To sell one's own brother takes an incredible amount of resolve, and it only made his life for the better. They wish they could have that same strength. It's a shame he won't let them around him to study him.
Ray is loud and annoying as hell, but that's pretty normal at casinos and even board meetings. Jet doesn't mind Ray, just don't mess with his work or him while he's busy.
He's got to hand it to him, Jet is the richer among the two. Feels like cheating, almost. Ray actually likes Jet enough. The two seem to get along.
