Lie's nickname comes from the second syllable of his last name. He began going by this name as a joke when he started dating Lamb and Lark, but eventually he grew to prefer it over his given name. Lie is a fairly effeminate man, and although he likes to style his long hair and occasionally wear makeup, he is very confident in his own gender and masculinity, and has never considered himself anything other than a man. That being said, his appearance often leads to him being misgendered by strangers, although he never minds when it is an honest mistake, and only takes offense when someone is being transphobic towards him. Lie loves lifting other people's confidence, which is why he went to beauty school and became a hair stylist. Outside his professional and social life, Lie carries with him a secret that could ruin his life: Lie is a hybrid. Although he's lived his whole life as a human, Lie is in fact half objectoid, a secret that he intends to take to his grave. The only ones who know what he truly is are his boyfriends, Lark and Lamb.

Lie's eyes are bright red, but he hides them behind black contact lenses. Being a hybrid, Lie doesn't have any special powers, although he has an innate sense of time and can always tell the precise time that it is without looking at a clock.
Lie grew up in Florida, raised as a human by his human mother. He never met his father, and doesn't even know who he is, but when he completed school, he decided to move to San Francisco in the hopes that his father might be there. Unfortunately, after living near Toy Town for several years, he's all but given up on his dream of meeting the man who helped make him.
Lie currently owns his own hair salon, which he works at as a hair stylist. He is dating Lamb Twist, a famous rock drummer, and Lark Rhodes, professional baseball player. He also often helps Bisque with his fashion blog, styling his models' hair for him. Although Lie would be more than willing to do it for free, Bisque insists on paying him for his services.
