Amauree Riles

Original concept: “The first idea I have is like.. the ghost of a thief who was killed by a necromancer and brought back to do his bidding, right?  But then the necromancer died and so now he’s just stuck in the mortal world forced to carry on this dead guy’s will and he’s just so apathetic and “whatever” about it.”

Amauree is so done with this mortal plane, and is just suffering through it as a means to an end.  The two skull-shaped rings on his middle fingers are made of real human bone, and they prevent him from passing on until his duty is fulfilled.  They’re also the source of his magic, and he is unable to remove them (can’t exactly cut off his fingers as a ghost either, not that he would do that anyway though).
