DiceCat's Literatures
After the events of Stormchaser, the world was supposed to return to normalcy - as normal as this would could, anyway. But tears in the world remain, threatening to pull passersby to an unknown fate, and who knows what else has been warped. A threat this dire requires an alliance of sorts... but not everyone is working toward the same ends.
The god of Dreams and Tricks (often just called Tricks) and its followers. This faction is one of my personal favorites to have in campaigns :D They're so confusing
For future reference. If / when I upload all mentioned cultures, this will be deleted.
Sometimes nomadic, sometimes sedentary. Sometimes hostile, sometimes passive. Having met one orc, you can safely say you have in fact, met one orc. A group of orcs is often called a "drove", or sometimes a "caravan" for the more nomadic droves.
A group of tieflings is called a "kindle".
Though there are distinct differences between the two, there is enough overlap to put them in one literature. Also I like comparing the two, sue me.
A nomadic culture of human(oid) / horse hybrids. A group of centaur is known as a "fare". Though uncommon everywhere, the largest number of them reside in the country of Brivorne.
Locations within the kingdom and the (very few) notes I have on them
A mix of official and homebrew content
A land of city-states that has never been successfully unified, leading to each state developing in extremely different ways.
Chilly down here, eh? MAJOR WIP so don't bother reading thru this yet.
A small island off the eastern coast of Brivorne, it is commonly used as a resort island in modern times, though the political strife that occurs behind the scenes manages to give it a somewhat dangerous feeling to newcomers. Daybriand broke off from Brivorne after a terrible earthquake “shook it free”. It has had a tumultuous history as the duke struggled to retain control of it, eventually leading to a new family taking the island over after negotiating a deal with the previous landowner. However, “ownership” of the island has switched many hands throughout the centuries, after revolutions, plots, and wars lead by various now-extinct factions shook the land. Having many historic sites, it tries to attract visitors by boasting its cultural influence on mainland Brivorne.
Moving things over from the amino onto here for easy access!
Based on the Stormchaser event prompts. I may go back to add onto these later. Word count in "Author's Note" before the chapter
Teague and the Companions don't rly get along
Based on some writing prompts! Not sure if I'll add to this but perhaps I will
He could handle jealousy, but this was much worse…
