Aw, Vallha's always nervous that people don't like him. I can't believe it bothers him that much... you'd think he'd be used to it by now, right? Though they really should make Cismin be the asshole sometime.
I was always intimidated by the Caretakers when I first moved to the island, but Arscay especially was scary. He was very unpredictable to me and I didn't know how to act around him. Now, he's very comfortable to be with. Not relaxing, mind. Just comfortable - familiar.
The true leader... who's never home and never actually does anything! It boggles me that we've let the governing of the island degrade this way. Why not have a democratically-elected leader who's... actually present?
Right, Quinten's gotten plenty of nightmares about this one! He's a right terror, rubbin' his dirty mitts all over the agency and tryin' to fuck with it. O'course he realizes he's only here so long as Cismin cares, so he's been butterin' up Cismin the whole while behind Quinty's back. Not that buttering Cismin is hard, mind ya.
He's a good person at heart.
God himself. The big guy. He's shyer than you'd think. Aither rounds him out, bein' louder and more free-spirit-y and a little more self-confident. I mean, Yerxes seems happy enough with him, and I'm not about to start telling god how to live his relationship, heheh.
Arscay is a good person. He always reflexively puts up walls and hides from others, especially his family. But I'm glad he has Quinten - a man perfect at ramming those walls down. I loved Arscay, of course... but I think maybe we weren't really meant for each other, y'know?
Heheh. A lot of complex feelings there, eh? Traded a Valkyre for an angel, ran off to wed n' bed god, livin' life just full-dunked in his partner now. I'm long over it, yeah, but sometimes it makes me wonder if he even remembers my name.
Arscay... he's an unreliable ass, but that's part of his charm. Honestly? I don't understand his charisma - it must be some mixture of his energy and humor. Whatever it is, it makes him... quite attractive.
Good ol' Festive-face! Listen, now, I'm not a mushy person, but I like Festi more than I should. He's got this great blunt exterior, and then gets the most evil-looking grins when you chip away at it to get at his little devil inside. And man is that devil funny! You should see him n' Quinten doing at it sometime!
Oh, Arscay. He's always so very busy, usually off on personal adventures. He's actually left the island now, for a very important reason... but I still think about him all the time. He's absolutely hilarious, and I miss laughing with him. I hope he's okay out there, alone and... cold....
The resident cinnamon bun! All warm and soft and covered in glaze - wink-wink. He's quite the cutie and he's always fretting about other peeps - just way quieter than Quinten. It's important to tuck him in to bed at night! And tie him down, too!
What is he THINKING?! Running off the island, alone, telling no one where he's gone?! Auuuuuugh, Arscay, I swear by Yerxes this is my limit! The next time I see him I'm going to put him in a straitjacket!
Aw, my little Quinty-woo's such a sweetie, ain't he? He's always looking after me like a big momma hen, always starts squawking whenever I start wandering off cliffs. Good! Somebody's gotta keep him from getting too comfy! Hehehe.
Mewt Mavet loves collecting his precious little pets, and this is only the most recent in a line of many. Nothing about him is notable save the international scandal if his Lacrayan heritage was publicized - hm....
I have made Bastet's acquaintance! Did you know? Eight out of Ten Chellabrans cite the Mirii Inlet's water to be the most delicious! It is a shame he cannot capitalize on this market, as its projected growth is up 20% in the next thirty decades.
Um. Six's robot friend. He helped Six steal books from the Faxtory so I guess he's fine. I don't know what robots are.
Six's companion! We have not met, though Six speaks affectionately and fondly of their time together. I wonder if he knows any of the fairy tales or nursery rhymes of the library cat? I can recite approximately 12!
'Friend' is a very generous term for one who hunts as diligently as Tribute! But, I would find it difficult to define him in any other way. Such are the idiosyncrasies of life!
Jrigette! The object of my purpose and the center jewel of my directive! Who in Navershin's name let him dress like that?!
Though I am certain - with 99% probability - my creator would not disassemble me, and in fact statistics show would be delighted to see me... I posit that I am not ready to give up my independence yet.
I don't understand how everything went so wrong. Core smugglers? Disregarding train procedure? A behemoth? Ugh. Ugh! This is why I don't talk to anyone. They're all so incompetent! And now I look like a fool in front of the Emperor. The only people I can rely on are my robots!
Ardor, Fervor, whatever. People really get up in arms worshipping some gods when us Flames are doing the heavy lifting, huh? Peaches himself's fine, a nice guy, if a little meek. Thankfully, he understood why I was visiting.
A visitor to my country from Bivve, seeking someone lost. They've arrived with my blessing, though the idea of losing Dragon is concerning to me....
I've met Lurifax's incredible robot. Its abilities are truly tremendous! A marvel of engineering, though truly a testament to his skill and creativity.
Of course, I am happy to serve the lord Emperor and ensure his needs are met - after I complete my primary directive!
Peaches is a kind heart, and someone I'm glad to see on the Empire's throne. Not that Nereen was bad, but - he was rough around the edges, and a little tense... but Peaches makes political debate seem like philosophical discussion!
Falacer and I have visited each other's domains a handful of times - primarily on business, of course. The Isle handles almost all international trade, and is a powerful presence in global politics... and yet, Falacer himself is quite cute when he's had a glass of wine....
Meria and I are oft in contact with one another, as she is often the stand-in for Sendrean ambassadors when representing all Crowns. I find her sharp as a blade and perceptive beyond imagination - a tense eye to be under.
The new Emperor. His naive mask suits him and his babyface well. He's too amicable and engaged with my negotiations for me to dislike him, though.
The Emperor is an interesting man, and many of my citizens have been in heated discussion over his supposed holy Flames. Though I myself favor the Fervor, I must keep a pulse on my people's worship of him.
The Jallvyon family has traditionally always held hands with the Empire, as the Sendrean Crown closest to our border. Jather is a stern person, with an intimidating glower, but I find him fair and even under that mask.
When I inquired, my proposal to visit Passane was denied, in part due to Tine's presence - we may only meet on neutral ground. Which is truly a shame, as I find myself fascinated by the Unbleeding.
The matters of Lacraya are not often my concern. Yet... this is Xharde's heir? Alas. My attention is drawn elsewhere, though my curiosity is piqued.
Mewt Mavet is an interesting man - and another holder of Ardor Flame. Though I have picked his brain for information regarding its acquisition and his goals, he remains tight-lipped - and unreceptive to any advances. Alas.
Eh, Peaches isn't bad - not so bad as Nereen, that walking, seething brick wall. He's more flirty and excited about his position than he lets on in public, though! Pokin' his nose around, lookin to reap the benefits of his position. I can respect it!
Saen is a wellspring of wisdom, information, history, and talent, having an incredible amount of experience due to his Immortality. I wish our countries were more friendly, so that I had more chances to speak to him!
Many Emperors have come and gone, but few with as much fanfare as Emperor Peaches'. His people claim he is the return of a god, a herald of eden. All I see is an idealistic boy with dreams too big for his country. Time will tell.
Peaches... wants to insist that I officially affiliate myself with the Empire, and let them hire me as a behemoth-hunter. I know my time here is limited, and that would be the best option to stay in Lacraya longer, but that's just jumping from one hot pan to another....
Our continent's most talented behemoth-hunter... does not belong here. I am not interested in the affairs of Bivve politics that I do not understand, hence I did not deny Feiwyrm's claims - but it would be unwise to simply hand Dragon over, would it not...?
Our Emperor! Inheritor of dual Flames! This is truly a blessing for our country - and for my company's work. What opportune fortune!
Tyche? Yes, I believe I recall - his companies are often contracted by the Court to upkeep official roads or protect caravans. His work is deeply appreciated, of course!
Tempo is quiet, but respectful and distant. He and his people reside away from the Court's jurisdiction and power, and such we do not speak often. But I feel we are on good terms, regardless.
I'm grateful Peaches has been so amicable to my followers and me... I mean, you never know how mortals or peasants will react when elevated to divinity or nobility. Still! He's kind, and I'm glad he gets use out of my gifts.
It was not I that made the decision to allow Procaralshaiph to reside within the Empire's domain, but out of respect for his relative peaceability, I have continued to honor it.
Hmhmhm, I visited for his crowning, of course. What a sight! The streets, filled with mortals throwing themselves at his feet, screaming, crying, everyone beholding his holy Flames! Hahaha. What a trip.
I keep polite distance from Lurifax, as he prefers. Though I have expressed no irritation or displeasure for his "missing robot", he seems so fixated on excelling for me.
Peaches... er, the Emperor. He's very nice. Almost too nice. It makes me paranoid but it's not like he's done anything wrong. Just some mysterious circumstances around him....
Helion was my tutor when I first arrived to Canthores. His guidance, patience, and companionship has been boundless, free of judgement. He was one of the first to trust me.
The Emperor calls few close friends, but I hope that I can claim that title for myself. We are of similar backgrounds - and commiserate with one another greatly.
