While patrolling his territory for any sign of threat, Rowan mistskes Faust for a roc and snipes at him. Only once he downs the supposed roc from the sky does he realize his grave error, and to right his wrongs he takes Faust back to his camp to treat him. While assuaging his wounds and nourishing him back to health, he develops a sort of fondness for Faust and his cheerful attitude. Even after his wing has healed, Rowan invites him to stay as long as he would like.
Obsi is hopelessly attracted to all things rare, riveting, and ravishing, and too him, Avery was all three. She caught his eye at a club not only with her appearance, but with her actions (more specifically her sick dance moves), and he knew he had to get a closer look. With a little flirting and a lot of drinking, Obsi befriended Avery. Now they frequently go clothes shopping together, and when Obsi can't decide which top he wants to buy, Avery is the first one he'll consult.
Having played against (and, frustratingly, lost to) Nadiya before, Poppy knows just how skilled and adaptable a gamer she is. Though she hated losing in a public match in front of all of her fans, she can handle Nadiya besting her in the privacy of her own home... sort of. Charmed by her energetic personality and aptitude for playing hard and well, Poppy would be happy to call Nadiya a friend. She plans to stream games with her in the near future.
When it comes to Percy, Max is conflicted. He's torn between fear and unease for Percy's obsessive tendencies and concern and worry for his lack of social skills and self confidence. When he first woke up in Percy's house after being kidnapped, he was terrified, but as he spent more time talking to him, he found himself treating his captor with kindness, looking after an injury and greatly enjoying the dinner Percy had made. He'd like to spend more time with Percy, wanting to know more about the person who skittered into his life from the shadows.
Percy's obsession with Max is, in reality, an extension of his obsession with Ezri. Striving to be everything that Ezri wants and adores, he decides that his best bet is to mimic the person Ezri seems most affectionate towards: his significant other. Percy meets Max in order to get a taste for his fashion sense, personality, hobbies, and other traits, and is surprised when the person he was trying to model ended up being kind to him. Now he bears a warm but hesitant sort of care for Max. He would like to have him over for dinner again.
Kavisha’s relationship with Sabiya never followed the beautified narrative of the doting, devoted older sister nurturing her sweet (if not slightly pampered) baby sister. Rather, when Kavisha was younger, she sent Sabiya off to do chores deemed to boring, such as getting herself a glass of water or brushing her own hair. She does not “ask favors” of Sabiya the same way she did when they were children, but remnants of her reliance occasionally reveal themselves in the form of frustration when Sabiya refuses Kavisha.
As a small child, Sabiya catered to Kavisha’s wants and whims, but as she ages she outgrew her desire to please (or at least not displease) her older sister. As the older of the two, Kavisha outperformed Sabiya in politics and strategy, and so, determined to cultivate her own gifts, Sabiya focused on charity and art. Even though both are now adults, Sabiya avoids any activity in which she might have to compete with her sister.
Connor struggles to determine wherher Greyson hates him or relies on him, and when he truly thinks about it, it must be both. Bearing a secret that, if loosed, could ravage the life of his friend forever (and that, in part, already has), Connor knows Greyson won’t leave him unwatched. Connor has pledged secrecy and intents to stand by that pledge.
Greyson is inseparably tethered to Connor less by choice and more by necessity. Having exposed a devastating truth about himself during a particularly alcohol-steeped night, he fears that leaving Connor unsupervised will result in his secret being shared around. If it were up to preference alone, Greyson would be content never talking to Connor again, but his well-being, reputation, and currently noncriminal status depend on Connor's confidentiality. Greyson does not trust Connor that much. He'll stay by his side so long as it means protecting himself, and in this case, it does.
Though he's quick to tire of all the dourness and complaints, Shiloh believes that Greyson, overall, is a good guy. They met because Shiloh blurted out a greeting that Greyson believed was for him (though it was actually a tick). Shiloh explained himself and, interestingly, the stranger continued to engage him. Their conversation was mostly dominated by Greyson while Shiloh nodded and "mm-hmm"ed, but the exchanged was beneficial enough for both of them to swap numbers. They meet up at a bar with two other friends whenever Shiloh isn't too tired or occupied to go.
Though Greyson typically sees unexpected greetings from strangers as a nuisance, being alone in an unfamiliar city has a way of changing peoples' perceptions. Because of this, he was very welcoming of Shiloh's greeting, and even after he found out the greeting wasn't meant for him (or for anyone), he still wanted to talk. Their conversation only lasted as long as the segment of bus route they shared, but they were reintroduced by a mutual friend. Greyson now knows Shiloh isn't the most reliable of friends, and while he often finds his laziness frustrating, he still hasn't forgotten the kindness Shiloh showed him the first day they met.
Connor finds Shiloh to be tollerable, if not a bit on the bland side. They're opposites in many ways aside from their inability to complete most of what they start, but even then, Connor tries. Shiloh doesn't. It's hard for Connor to befriend someone who is so insipid and carefree. Connor also has a vague, strange feeling that Shiloh is annoyed by him.
Connor is, by nature, Shiloh's antithesis. His loud, unpredictable, energetic, and brawly nature is overwhelming to Shiloh, so he opts to avoid him on days that are already tough enough without him in them. Ever since Connor joined his group of friends, Shiloh has been less and less involved with them. Home is much more relaxed and fight-free, after all.
Thanks to Shiloh's relaxed (and lax in general) approach to life and interaction, Dominic finds him the most relatable of the group of four. If he wants to get away from Connor's childish brashness or Greyson's numbing negativity, he'll invite Shiloh to outings consisting of just the two of them. Frequently Shiloh declines, and although some might consider Shiloh to be unreliable, Dominic knows he has his reasons. He also knows that Shiloh will always come through for him in regards to care for Carlisle, Dominic’s nephew. He's immensely thankful for that and it shows.
Every encounter with Greyson leaves Dominic with a less and less trustworthy impression of him. Although he can get along with Greyson just fine when he's sober, drunk Greyson is an entirely different beast. He mopes, he gets stingingly cynical, and worst of all, he spills secrets--both his and everyone else's. Dominic specifically confided in Greyson and Shiloh about Carlisle because he didn't think Connor could be trusted with such sensitive information. Only a few drinks in and Greyson divulged the secret entirely. Dominic doesn't talk to him about personal affairs anymore.
To Dominic, Connor is little more than a pain in the ass. His rowdy behavior has gotten them kicked out—even banned—from certain bars, and while Dominic can appreciate some energy, Conner is wholly too much. If he knows in advance that Connor will be coming to an outing, Dominic might pass it up altogether.
Though Inbas makes it a point to avoid favoritism, there is no denying that Amirja is his most prized dancer and servant.
Everything that Ezri loves is what Percy wants to be. Interests, preferences, goals, and favorites are simply references to Percy, things to be replicated and expressed as organically as if they were by nature his own. Ezri's mood is his livelihood and he would rearrange his entire life if only it meant he could be more interesting to the current love of his life. As of now he does not have the courage to confess his love to Ezri, much less introduce himself to him. Instead he gets closer by stalking Ezri and taking tabs on him. In response to the information he has amassed Percy is reinventing his personality, his wardrobe, and his goals to better align with Ezri's.
Matteo sees Luciano as something to be pitied... and possibly used. As classmates, while Luciano fooled others with his charade, Mateo always knew under that faked thick skin was a sensitive heart of gold. Although they were in the same group of friends, they never interacted much. Mateo can only assume that Luciano was intimidated. Naturally.
Though the bulk of their interactions are largely confined to the past (and more specifically high-school) Matteo impresses only one image on Luciano; that he is a selfish ingrate who doesn't mind using others to do his dirty work if he can still look pretty in the process. Majorly uncomfortable around Matteo, Luciano does not wish to involve himself with his classmate any more than necessary.
Ceres texts Luciano occasionally and is always eager to meet up with him for a walk around the city or a friendly chat. When they were both in high-school, Luciano was a fairly good friend, and Ceres hasn’t forgotten that fact. Even though life has introduced new circumstances and people, he will never leave Luciano behind.
Since graduating high-school, Luciano hasn’t stayed as connected with Ceres as he had hoped, but he still makes time approximately every other week to go shopping or grab some coffee with his old classmate. Ceres, with his openness, is a very welcome friend in Luciano’s eyes. His only concern about Ceres is his ties with Mateo.
Eno is the friend that Poppy goes to when she needs a little peace and quiet from her often busy life. At night she likes to visit him just to curl up on his bed and play a game or two. She doesn't even need to be talking to him to feel content--they often occupy the same room wordlessly as Poppy battles Pokemon and Eno clicks his way through Osu! maps.
Poppy is what Eno would consider his closest friend, and although he tires easily from social interactions, he always has time and energy for Poppy. If Eno is at all aware of Poppy's widespread popularity, he certainly doesn't show it. He games with her despite the fact that he regularly loses to her.
