Show me characters who never/rarely smile!

Arielle does smile from time to time, but normally they only smile around their best friend to make him feel that he is appreciated.
Arielle is apathetic, though, so smiling isn't really something they do genuinely. It's an expression they learned how to show when times need for it, but other than that they don't smile. The village knows them to have an "icy appearance" and that they seem distant, but Arielle always seems like a nice person in general so they don't give it too much of a thought.

Also there's the saying you could smile with your eyes? Yeah. Arielle's eyes always seems distant.
I wouldn't say dead, or lifeless, but I'd say more like emotionless, which truly reflects their internal feelings.

Lily generally doesn't smile either.
She stopped smiling for a very long time, after her brother's murder, and only started to warm up after the case was solved.

This dude doesn't show any emotion on his face, even when he's happy. You could tell him a joke he thought was hilarious but he wouldn't show it on his face

A lot of things turned upside down after her parents' divorce... She pretty much lost one of the biggest part of her childhood, and slowly she couldn't even smile like she used to. Adding the fact people started to think her smile nowadays looks fake or unnatural, and associates her with someone mature or intimidating--Reika literally lost her reasons to smile naturally. (There's even some extended backstory too but these are pretty much why she never smile.)

Realistically speaking, she's still young and slowly learning so of course things like this left a huge emotional impact that made her struggle to show any emotions, haha.

Ares is pretty deadpan all the time, so he’s never seen smiling or emoting anything strongly. He certainly won’t talk about why he’s like that, and if asked he’d probably respond with something snarky like “joy is a premium perk that is far beyond my financial capabilities.” Then again he tends to avoid disclosing any information about himself and citing that he’s not paid enough for anything, certainly not something so luxurious as smiling. ^^;

Tiny pessimistic child whose default expression is a scowl. There's not really much to smile about after her mother left. 

It doesn't help that she still has to put up with her dumb peers and even more idiotic adults who believe they know what's good for her. 

Even worse is that she seems to attract every malevolent supernatural being for miles, so school's kinda a low priority right now. 

Zeb does smile but only with his friends/boyfriend/dog. He hates showing pretty much any emotion (except anger...) if he's surrounded by strangers, so he's usually deadpan in public.

Aurelio also rarely smiles, and most of the time when he does, it's to be polite. I think I've only drawn him smiling a few times... He's kinda just a morose dude.

The stern/stoic expression is my fav to draw xDDD so ofc I'm gonna have some of these types~♡♡ 

One of my favs is Friedrich ~♡ He grew up in a strict household so he hasn't expressed his emotions much, but that does change later on ;w; But the RBF stays lol

Dimitri doesn't usually smile mostly because he doesn't really emote outside of slight variations of his default resting bitch face in general. It's just how his face is, he feels emotions at expected degrees of intensity even if he has trouble processing what they are at times. He does rarely crack a smile, but even then it's small and he doesn't show teeth.

Callumn is supposed to show little to no emotion on his face, despite feeling emotions a lot. He learned to do this so he could conceal his species, so people would not know he is apart of the Mistform branch (Mistforms, especially a-types, are very easily given away through facial expression). However I draw him with emotion often because I seem to forget this point every time I pick up a pen (or use my finger because I draw- look you get the point).

Honourable mentions include Dreamy who is often shown to be deadpan or upset due to her living conditions, Society who just doesn’t feel emotion often as a mannequin, Jiro the big tsundere energy (him and Callumn are like the emotionless best friends that everyone in their class avoids at all costs lol), Vivienne who seems to intimidate everyone she meets due to her constantly stern face, Azalea, Milky and Sinclair in the same point as they all have this weird form of amnesia that seems to take away your ability to have facially visible emotions, Venny who shows little to no emotion unless presented with organs (don’t ask) and so many more that I shouldn’t list because this is too long already lol.

Eros doesn't really smile and such, it's actually quite rare for him to do so unless he feels confident enough to actually manage a smile or display his overall contentment in general. Eros is a numb man and represses his emotions a lot, so he can have the incapability to even smile in the first place. He pretty much became like this after he was heavily impacted by the car crash that caused his family to die. So most of his days, he's usually repressing most of his sorrow. But despite this, Eros is a very solemn man.. But there are definitely times where you can catch with him with a genuine smile.
