Support Conversations
A collection of Fire Emblem-style conversation scripts between various characters of mine, showing how their relationships develop as time goes by. Each pair of characters will have three conversations (C rank, B rank and A rank) in one story.
Pyre/Loch
C Rank
Pyre: Hey, Loch. Great concert, huh?
Loch: Huh? Oh, yeah. It was awesome.
Pyre: Are you alright? You seem kind of distracted.
Loch: Don't worry about it. I've just been thinking about a lot of stuff... I promise it's nothing serious or important. Anyway, are you coming back to Gray's place with us?
Pyre: Sure! You know I'd never miss out on a post-concert party.
Loch: Especially if there's alcohol, videogames and Monopoly involved!
Pyre: *gasps* Gray has Monopoly?!
Loch: So, we're gonna play it?
Pyre: Definitely!
B Rank
Pyre: There is definitely something up with you, Loch.
Loch: What gives you that impression?
Pyre: Well... we've been sitting in this bar for nearly an hour and you've barely touched your drink. Also, you haven't tried to hit on a single person since we got here. That generally means something's wrong.
Loch: *laughs* You make it sound like I'm some crazy person who flirts with everything I see.
Pyre: Well, you kinda do. I don't think it's crazy, though! It's just unusual for you to be in a bar with us and not be talking to anyone. Even Stal has noticed. We're just worried about you.
Loch: Wait, Stal has noticed? Has he said anything?
Pyre: No, but Gray has. He mentioned to me earlier... Actually, maybe I shouldn't say it. I wouldn't want to get him into trouble.
Loch: Just tell me!
Pyre: Well, he... sort of implied that he thinks you have feelings for me.
Loch: Oh, damn...
Pyre: So, um... is that true or was he just imagining things?
Loch: Yeah, it's a little bit true. I didn't want to say anything, because this... well, this is normal for me. I get crushes a lot. It doesn't mean anything, and it'll pass soon enough. You don't have to worry about me jumping you or anything.
Pyre: Oh... that explains a lot, actually. I guessed that maybe you had feelings for someone. I just didn't expect it to be me.
Loch: Unless... wait a second. Did you want something to happen between us...?
Pyre: No! I mean... I like you, but not in that way. I just don't think it would work out.
Loch: Yeah, I understand. Don't worry about it. Though, I'm curious... are you interested in anyone right now?
Pyre: Uhh, sure, I guess so. There was that one guy in the club we played at last week... but I'm not looking for a relationship or anything.
Loch: Well, maybe you'll – wait a minute. Did you just say 'guy'?
Pyre: Ummmmm... nope...
Loch: *chuckles* You totally said that. Don't worry, I don't have anything against it.
Pyre: *exhales* Good. For a moment I thought you were gonna ask Stal to throw me out of the band!
Loch: Why would I do that? So, anyway... don't worry about me. I'll be fine. Just give me a day or two to stop being an idiot, OK?
Pyre: I'd never think of you as an idiot.
A Rank
Loch: Hmm...
Pyre: ...
Loch: *plays a few chords on her guitar*
Pyre: Isn't that the solo from Nightmares and Dreams?
Loch: *yelps* Pyre! Don't sneak into the room like that!
Pyre: Ahaha, sorry. I thought you heard me.
Loch: Damn vampires and your ability to move around without making any noise...
Pyre: So, was that from Nightmares and Dreams?
Loch: Yeah, it was. I've been trying to perfect the way I play it... but it's really hard. I guess it's understandable, since I haven't been playing guitar very long. But Stal wants me to have it down by the time we play at The Crow's Eye next week, so I don't have much time left to practice.
Pyre: Hey, don't stress about it too much. You're really good already, and Stal will understand if you can't get it perfect in time for the show.
Loch: Thanks. I'm not gonna worry about it too much – but I do want to make it as good as I can. Also, Stal keeps telling me I should learn to read music, so maybe I ought to try that.
Pyre: Well, I never learned to read music and I can still play things. I don't think it matters very much.
Loch: Yeah, that's true, isn't it? You play just fine without being able to read a thing. When did you learn how to play keyboard?
Pyre: When I was about eight or nine. My mum plays keyboard too, and I remember asking her to teach me when I was pretty young.
Loch: Aww, that's adorable...
Pyre: Say, how about I bring my keyboard in here and we can have a little jam session? We're both supposed to be practising for next week's show, so why don't we do it together?
Loch: Yeah, I'd love that! For some reason I always feel more motivated to try harder when you're around. I think it's because I've always admired your musical skills. I hardly try at all when I'm alone, but when we play together, I always want to be as great as you.
Pyre: *smiles* I don't know if I'm that great, but thank you.
Loch: Now c'mon, let's get this jam session started!
