Day 9.2

Kina was a whirlwind on the field as she moved about, claws out and fangs bared. She was a force to be reckoned with, certainly, though that did not mean she was safe from injury. Despite the power she surged forth with and the obvious strength and prowess that she had, Kina was no expert at fighting. On top of that, she was emotional, and that was something that lent itself well to distracting her.

She fell back behind one of the wooden beasts as one of the citizens of the goddess' underground city swung at her, her first actual move of defense throughout the entire fight. Despite everything, Kina had surged forward with little to no actual care for defending herself, instead focusing entirely on disabling her opponents. The creature blocked, giving a disgusted shriek as it attacked the cat who had just tried to attack her. She cringed as she ripped her gaze away, forcing herself to focus on another opponent. Even though she was doing her best to simply disable her opponents, not landing a single fatal blow or even ones that would do much damage (if she could help it), as far as she could tell, that was not the goal of many of the other attackers.

Where is Cole? She thought as she went head to head with another lioness, leaping at her and rolling in the air and to the ground. Kina's teeth sunk into purple fur, muffling her shriek when her opponent's claws sunk into her back. Is he okay? I thought he was only a little behind me when we were on our way over. Did we get separated in the crowd?

Kina yelped again as the lioness' claw scratched her ear, and she finally released her, shoving her opponent backwards as she stumbled back. Her wounds definitely stung, but Kina wasn't going to give up because of a couple of scratches (even if she wasn't sure just how deep the scratches on her back actually were). "I'm sorry," she hissed through gritted teeth, "but you're on the wrong side."

"Who are you to decide that?" the lioness challenged in response, flexing her claws as she stared down Kina. At least she was also baring a wound from where Kina had bit her, slowing her a little. "From where I'm standing, you're on the wrong side."

"We're just going to have to agree to disagree," Kina growled, launching herself forward again.
