Cytus

Cytus

A country that had a fair amount of power during the Magic Period despite it being extremely against the use of magic. Its genius in combat & primordial technology allowed Cytus to be on Gaiatine's map for a while until it was wiped out from it shortly after a war broke in the country, causing it to split into pieces. Eventually, all these pieces became ruins, and now it is considered a country of the past.

Geography

Cytus was located in a different continent in the north-east. Because of this, it experiences fairly cold yet consistent temperatures ranging from 5-20 degrees Celsius all year round. It rains very frequently, which is ideal for plants and trees that need lots of water to survive. The country is fairly balanced, in the way that they were many forests but there were also some very small mountains & a few lakes. It can be considered the Gaiatine equivalent of the United Kingdom, although it is not an island. While the country itself doesn't exist anymore, the ruins of all the kingdoms located in the country can be easily visited.

Laurencia Kingdom

One of the bigger kingdoms of Cytus. Ruled by the House of Greyford, who were notorious for ruling the kingdom with an iron fist. The last king of the kingdom, Alexandros Greyford, was notorious for being extremely two-faced and selfish. Despite this, it was one of the best kingdoms to live in due to the abundance of resources as well as the buildings being generally well-managed. It was also considered to be fairly green with trees covering the kingdom, as well as a river surrounding it.

Before Cytus' downfall, Laurencia Kingdom was going to be the kingdom leading Cytus, not because of Alexandros' strength, but because of his son's potential as the next king. Unfortunately, said son went insane after seeing the horrors of war and had to be killed by his father. Since that event, everything in Cytus started to fall. Eventually, all kingdoms including Laurencia fell into ruin.

Grinia Kingdom

A kingdom ruled by the House of Strausberg, who had huge egos and had the tendency of starting rivalries with other kingdoms. It was notorious for having a decades-old rivalry with the Greyfords from Laurencia due to it being the kingdom most likely to lead Cytus. Despite the name of the kingdom sounding like the word "grim", it actually had the most amount of green on its territory, which was perfect for those living there to co-exist with the wild beasts living around the kingdom.

After the lost of one of their princes, Wolfgang Strausberg, the family hung on for a few years without a successor but fell during the multiple wars that happened all around Cytus.

Henaelia Kingdom

A small kingdom in the middle of Cytus supposedly ruled by the Bethany-Blossom family. Unfortunately, the king and the queen both fell at the hands of a flu, leaving their only daughter, Princess Irene, to rule the country. Since the family always preached peace, it never had anything to do with the different wars in Cytus, even if this would cause its demise very quickly. After the death of the princess due to a heartbreak, the kingdom fell with her shortly after because no one was able to find a princess to replace her on time.

Pira Kingdom

Pira Kingdom was known to be an empire almost as big as Laurencia Kingdom, but without its prestige or resources. Despite that, its leaders had done their absolute best to get to their peak with the sheer power of determination while starting from essentially nothing. The kingdom firmly believed that Cytus needed a better leading kingdom and completely disagreed with the way the Greyfords have tried to take the country for themselves.

While it is not as extraordinary, Pira Kingdom gathered an immense army, many of its members consisting of rebels or others that do not agree with Laurencia Kingdom’s way of leading the people. While it did manage to defeat the kingdom, not even they were safe from the country’s downfall, as it self-destructed with the rebels never getting what they wanted.
