Climates

Each region of Atuannar has its own unique climate and variation in weather patterns. The resources in these areas are also dependent upon the climate and level of civilization present in the area.


Climate Map

Central/East Atuannar

This region is in a mild temperate zone; winters are cold and summers are hot and humid. The seasons last for a generally equal amount of time. There are a rich diversity of plants and animals, and Vesperia's most precious natural resource, Vesperian Crystal, can be found in this region.

Trees

There are two tress unique to this continent and are only found in the central and eastern regions.

Astéridae- A tall tree with a grayish-white bark. The leaves are pink in the spring, lilac in summer, aubergine in autumn, and near-black in winter. At night in the warmer months, the tree flowers will blossom and clow a pale white like stars, hence their name.

Kosillare- Thick trees with leaves that are varying shades of pink year-round. While they are scientifically known as evergreen, most folk refer to them as everpink.

Northwestern Coast of Atuannar

This region is in an arid zone; the daytime temperature is hot and dry year-round, although at night temperatures plummet. There is very little water on the main land until you reach the ocean, where the coast offers relief from the stagnant air further inland. Only shrubs, cacti, and select few trees can survive in key areas here.
