fogmere’s open-source grandmother. one wouldn’t guess it from her ever-friendly appearance, but sienna is actually ostracized from the arcane community, and banned from joining any coven at all.
sienna worked together with nyssa, somewhat, a witch banned similarly to herself. the two had similar goals, if you squint. nyssa intended on creating life from nothing, a subject highly taboo in magic spheres. instead, sienna wished to create bread that never spoils, and never runs out, by slightly altering the method.
it turns out slightly altering it wasn’t enough, as the loaf came out of the oven entirely sapient. news spread quick, and soon enough, sienna was no longer allowed to join any magical spheres where she could risk to spread her gained knowledge. so naturally, one would think she learned her lesson.
nope, turns out she felt bad for her new bread son, for it must feel so lonely, being the only one of his kind on earth. and so, she made him a sister.

though they are thoroughly blacklisted from every coven in the city, the community has not turned hostile towards the little family in the slightest. sienna runs a cozy little bakery in meadow row, and is well known for not only making very good pastries, but also for being an extraordinarily friendly woman. she acts as a grandmother to everyone in the neighborhood, and they treat her just as warmly in return. sienna is very cuddly and personable, and somehow manages to remember the names of all her hundreds of customers. sprinkles and carmella have had relatively stable childhoods as well, despite being constantly attacked by hungry birds, and have grown up to become independent, wage-earning adults. despite having her go through a lot of trouble, sienna regrets not even a second of putting her children on earth.

as for what happened to nyssa... she disappeared off the face of the earth soon after their cooperation, seemingly, and sienna would be lying if she said she hasn’t been worrying over it the past few decades.
