Elion Losol

"Come one, come all to the Spectacle Fantastical - the Magnificent Elion Losol Traveling Caravan Performance!"

Elion Losol, or the Magnificent Elion as he's known on stage, is a traveling magician and small circus troupe that decided to make Neo Oldesville their most recent stop. He's a family friend of local circus performer (and Inspector Query fan club president) Columbo and his mothers, Pierra and Harleen, with all three of them being sentient carnivale masks, respectively. While Columbo has recently taken a break from the lime light of being a traveling circus performer, his mothers have not and still work alongside Elion. Which is actually super cool! Columbo has been extremely excited to introduce us all to his family, as well as to show off the kinds of performances they put on, and who doesn't love a good magic act?

According to Columbo, the eccentric ring leader of the show is a sweet, kind hearted and overly enthusiastic character who absolutely loves nothing more than to put a smile on someone's face. Not even just on stage - but in everything he does. He's apparently incredibly philanthropic and always tries to gives back to the local areas he visits, be it the occasional free shows (especially for hospitals and schools) or donating things he's gotten over his travels to clothing banks, to even helping clean up and de-litter the areas his caravan sets up - usually leaving the spot in even better shape than when his troupe first arrived. He is not, however, very good with confrontations, and tends to roll over very easily to the first upset customer - whether their outrage is warranted or not. Thankfully he has his troupe to back him up if a customer gets particularly rowdy and abusive.

Apparently, according to what Columbo's mothers have told him, Elion used to actually be the exact opposite of what he is today. Vindictive, petty, easily offended, and fast to hold a grudge, he used to have a very negative and mean side to him. It's said that one day, after a rather abysmal showing and poor ticket sales due to Elion throwing a fit when a customer booed at him, Elion took a long, hard look at himself in the mirror and finally realized he was the problem, not the other way around. He decided to make a serious change in himself at that moment, and apparently hasn't looked back. (Good for him! I know from experience: that's not an easy thing to do... it can take years, even lifetimes sometimes to break your worst habits and build another life for yourself.)

Columbo did mention, however, that the weird thing about it was that his mother’s said it was like Elion changed "almost overnight" when he made this decision. Pierra told Columbo that for an entire week Elion vanished (which apparently wasn't uncommon at that time after particularly bad reviews) and two new, stranger people took over for him during that time: the quiet and apathetic Mr. Loon and the brash, in your face Mr. Soleil. Once Elion came back however the two disappeared, which Harleen and Pierra were very happy for as Soleil and Loon did not get along.

The circus is in town this week, but no ones seen or heard from Elion himself as of yet. Instead, the show is currently being run by Mr. Soleil, and it's apparently concerning enough people that I'm being asked to take a look into it. Hopefully it's just a case of bad jokes falling flat and nothing more serious.
