Renee Sage

The sole author of the online news journal, The Word Sage, Renee is determined to get to the bottom of any story she deems news worthy for the citizens of Neo Oldesville. They're not always the most glamorous stories like what shows up on News Today with Ree Porter, but important for people to be informed on nonetheless. The two seem to have a healthy rivalry actually about who can get the scoop on a story first - and surprisingly respect each others craft enough to allow the other a headline. It's rare to find both News Today and The Word Sage talking about the same topic, which is probably why the both do so well together. We've yet to see them team up however...

Renee is resilient though, never stopping to get to the bottom of a juicy scoop and absolutely respects the privacy of people involved in her stories - only the stories themselves are written about and the personal lives of those associated are left in peace. Most of the time her pieces are about things like local gatherings or events, like the popular Garden Festival every spring, but occasionally she manages to land a juicier one, usually involving the likes of a talented private eye, before Ree does. She's the polar opposite to most journalists during those cases - she practically blends into the walls and surroundings, listening, watching and following without interjecting herself into the case very often.

There has never been much known about her personal life however, as she pretty much lives and breathes the Word Sage when she's actually in town. She takes lot of trips around the country, and entertainingly enough so do her stories. While I've yet to see people go off on adventures around the world thanks to the Word Sage, she certainly has helped open the imaginations of locals with stories and exposés about other cities.
