The Jester's Justice... where do I even begin??
The Jester's Justice's names are really Columbo & Bennie Manikin, two star struck lovers who found themselves both figuratively and literally during one fateful stage showing of Inspector Query. Bennie worked for the production team and was generally cast as the masked villains, playing the physical role while someone else supplied the voice off stage, while Columbo was like myself; a fan in the crowd watching the show. Unfortunately, the Kringled Kaper decided to join in on the fun, stealing and snapping one of Bennie's wooden legs, and taking her place on stage.
Thankfully both the Inspector and I noticed him and instead of ending the show, we teamed up to take him down. During this process Bennie attempted to get revenge for losing her leg to the little creep and was saved from being thrown off stage by Columbo. The two must have had a love at first sight moment because they almost immediately teamed up and transformed into a super hero like vigilante, helping both myself and Inspector Query. In the end the crowd ate the whole thing up, assuming it was all just a part of the act. Query thanked us all and even gave the two their current nickname when teamed up: The Jester's Justice.
It was fun until the two started taking this idea of being a super hero vigilante like Inspector Query to heart... and ACTUALLY started showing up around town trying to do my job for me! They're hard headed [literally], stubborn, show boaters, and an all-around nuisance to my work. They love to show off and play off every situation as if it's just another cheesy special from the old Inspector Query radio show [a favorite of both of them], but it most definitely is not!
Some of the more minor criminals in town may play along with them but their eccentric personalities and desire to be real heroes could get them into very hot water with some of the more serious villains in town. Frankly I'd be less annoyed with them and their over-the-top ego if it weren't for the fact that I know they could get very seriously hurt if they keep playing these games. They refuse to heed any of my warnings, [or advice!] and routinely show up where they're not needed or wanted. At this rate they're going to end up with their own fan club given how much publicity they've received in the Word Sage news blog... I just hope I never see anything in the form of an obituary...

- They are actually two people, which is why they prefer they/them vs sir or ma'am. When together they view The Jester's Justice as a single person - so everyone else does too in town.
- Occasionally Colombo will completely let go of Bennie and attack head on - usually in order to wrap his tendrils around a foe and incapacitate them entirely. This is usually more of a last resort however as it leaves Bennie vulnerable.
- They just, never stop talking. Ever. It's like they've walked straight out of a 1980s/1990's cheesy detective show or something.
Show boating - even more than the Kringled Kaper it seems.
Having the perfect come back.
Inspector Query.
The attention they get from the towns folks when they actually succeed at something.
Chatting with anyone within earshot.
Acrobatics.
People getting hurt, especially because of their own actions.
Criminals getting away without punishment.
Someone getting Inspector Query lore wrong, on purpose.
