Description

Eli is a confident and smug fighter who loves the rush of a good fight. He has good faith in his abilities, and it’s justified! He can come off as pretty cocky, but that’s fine; he invites anyone to try and wipe the grin off his face. He’s proven himself to be pretty tough, but he also appears to be a good friend, even if he shows it through a lot of teasing.

Known Past

It’s known that Eli has been with Professor Elm for long enough to have sparred against Hera a lot and to have become her friend, but how he got there and what came before that is not yet known.

During the Comic

The same day Ethan picked up Hera as his starter, Silver also picked up Eli, and the Charmander’s journey as a trainer Pokémon began. Although not much of Eli has been shown, it’s known that he’s continuously proven himself to be a competent fighter for Silver. He fought against Neo Team Rocket at Azalea Well, and was able to down both Terry and Hera in Silver and Ethan’s second fight. Not to mention, Eli evolved during his time as Silver’s Pokémon! This Charmeleon is quite the MVP of Silver’s team.

Eli crosses his arms and coats them in a psychic shield that bounces back most ranged powers.

Although it was off screen, Eli was the first Pokémon to evolve during the course of PiJ!

On page 28, Hera mentions that she is "still undefeated" against Eli, implying a history of sparring against and losing to Hera.
