During the Comic

Some time before Silver arrived at Azalea Town, he ran into Joshua at the Ruins of Alph. The two reached some form of agreement in which Joshua would be traveling with and fighting with Silver “for the time being.” Joshua participated in the second fight between Silver and Ethan, and lost a one v one fight with Sydaya, who noticed the chip in his wing.

Although Joshua and Sydaya were both encountered by their respective trainer at the same location, the Ruins of Alph, neither of them knew each other.

At some point during page 28’s development, I considered making Joshua’s psychic energy blue to contrast with Terry’s pink, but then I realized that would make his fight scene with Sydaya too blue, as not only would both combatants be primarily blue, their powers would have been as well!
