Clothing Style

Dratto is almost always seen wearing his collosseum armor since he rarely does anything in public aside from fighting for the masses. His armor provide decent protection for his main body, but the pieces are lighter around his arms and legs to not impede his mobility, since he focuses on quick maneuvers and harsh swordplay rather than defensive fighting. He's by no means weak in the defensive department though, since he needs to keep the enemy's attention so Dratta can stay out of range and use her magic. He wears a relatively simple but durable chest piece, shoulder plates, an armored belt with tassets and tattered red cloth over it, and legguards and boots. Beneath his thicker armor pieces he wears lighter chain armor that resembles scales, and his arms are mostly cover with leather armor with some chain armor on top along with gauntlets. His armor overall along with any leather/cloth pieces are typically dark red, dark orange, or brown with minimal accents. He also wears a simple metal headpiece and simple belts around the hips to hold his swords, since neither have the proper shape for a simple sheath.

When not fighting in the collosseum, his casual outfit tends to just consists of his typical outfit just without the metal armor, or a simple cloth top with pants, usually in the same warm/dark color scheme.

Personality

Dratto comes off as having a rather weak personality compared to his twin sister, and he appears to be rather limited in his capacity for emotions at times due to the extended time he's spent in Minarai. He tends to follow his sister unquestioningly and is very emotionally dependent on her. Although he seems perfectly capable and confident when at her side, Dratto has very low confidence and faith in himself and doesn't believe he's capable of making the right decisions on his own. He tends to underestimate his own judgment, opinions, and intelligence and defers to Dratta to make decisions for them both, to the point where he is incapable of deciding what to do for himself if she's not around. Dratto values his sister's opinion over all his own, so he puts aside or puts down his own ideas and tends to never voice his own thoughts out of fear that they will be different from Dratta's. Although his sister doesn't actually care if they don't agree on things, Dratto doesn't believe he's smart enough to actually make correct decisions and is utterly dependent on his sister to do so for him. Even in instances where he likely would've made the correct decision on his own, he won't even acknowledge this and attributes all correct decisions to Dratta and all incorrect ones to his own indirect influence on his sister's judgment.

When with his sister, Dratto appears to be a rather confident and collected young man, especially when in combat. He fully trusts his sister's combat tactics and believes as long as he follows her guidance that things will be okay. Even if he's fighting without her, he simply resorts to past tactics that she came up with before to guide him, and since they've been fighting in the arena for so long there's basically no situation they haven't encountered before. For the few completely new situations, he's still able to adapt well by pulling tactics from similar encounters and combining them to fit the new one. However, Dratto doesn't seem to understand he could do the same for non-combat situations as well sometimes. He always tends to second guess himself with simple tasks such as picking a fork in the road or something as simple as figuring out what to eat since there's usually no real right decision to make most of the time, which terrifies him since he thinks only Dratta's capable of interpretting the gray area of decision making. Dratto vastly underestimates himself in most situations, but while in combat he has no doubts about himself or what he can accomplish, although he mostly attributes that to his faith in his sister.

If Dratto should be separated from Dratta for too long, he gets extremely skittish and anxious. He tends to stay where he is if he becomes separated from her since he's afraid he'll make mistakes if he tries to look for her. If he's apart from her for extended periods of time, he'll likely have a mental breakdown and desperately call for her to help him. He is utterly helpless if his sister is not available to direct him, save for if he's thrust into battle where he's more comfortable figuring things out for himself. Otherwise if he was in a place like a maze he wouldn't be able to convince himself to make a decision and be completely stuck, physically and mentally. However, if he even has the slightest hint that Dratta may be around though, he will at least try to find her despite the mental and emotional agony it might cause him when he encounters situations in which he has to make a choice. Although he is a truly fearsome warrior in battle and is not one to be crossed, he is at his most vulnerable without his sister and similar to a lost, frightened child when on his own.

The part of him that Dratto most underestimates is his instincts. He has very keen senses for the world around him, especially with the natural atmosphere of Minarai, yet he tends to completely ignore his instincts in favor of unconditionally trusting Dratta's judgment. While Dratta seems to have completely lost all memory of how they got to Minarai while retaining her personality, Dratto has the opposite problem where his personality has been drained away, yet he still has vague memories of their past before being trapped in Minarai and retains many reflexive skills or deep rooted experiences in his subconscious. However, he doesn't trust he's good enough to properly interpret the strange things he remembers, and since Dratta has no memories of their lives like he does, Dratto assumes something must be wrong with him and that he should ignore it. Dratto, despite his limited capability to express himself and form his own personality, is definitely the more sensing and observant of the two. If only he would share his thoughts with his sister...

  • Perfect coordination with her twin in combat
  • Skilled with swords, particularly wielding two at a time

Strengths

  • Fearless when with his sister, has high pain tolerance, and patient
  • Has keen memory and senses, instinctual, and observant
  • Loyal and protective toward his sister and whoever becomes allies with them

Weaknesses

  • Lacks confidence, ignores his own gut feelings, and is completely dependent on his sister to make decisions for them
  • Gets anxious and can have mental breakdowns if separated from his sister for too long (although he does better alone if he needs to fight)
  • Past dismissal from his sister has caused him to not trust himself and believe he's too stupid to interpret his own thoughts
  • Emotional capacity has been dulled by his time in Minarai and from supressing his thoughts around his sister

Backstory

To most, Dratto and his twin sister, Dratta, have always been fighters in the Solarium Collosseum on Coli Island. They fight as a team and are some of the most successful warriors in the tournaments. They are clearly the Collosseum owner's favorites for all the winnings and glory they've brought to the island, and the two have lived there for longer than they can remember. Dratta believes there is nothing to their past, present, and future but the Collosseum, yet their options for escaping have all been depleted, so she's given up trying at this point. Dratto used to tell his sister about mysterious visions he has about them living in a place other than the island, but Dratta has dismissed them as delusions so thoroughly that he refuses to speak of them even on her request and has convinced himself he is a fool for thinking such things. Until they find some way to leave the island, they remain in the eternal cycle of fighting for their lives and the entertainment of the masses.

This cycle may finally be broken when a boy named Tobi is found washed up on the beach. He seems to have foggy memories of how he got there, yet it is clear he is not of the island nor of the mainland. Dratta believes this boy may be their ticket out, and Dratto hasn't the will or confidence to disagree with her.

Trivia:

  • Although he doesn't remember it, his blades are both "Etriquit blades," which simply means that they are charged with ancient energies from his bloodline. He doesn't remember anything about these energies though, so he cannot access them.
