PERSONALITY
Unlike a good portion of the states, Alaska is reserved and introverted, preferring to be left alone. He's also quite cold and distant, seemingly caring little about how you'd feel about it: the truth is as cold and unforgiving as the tundra he resides in. While he'll ignore some tomfoolery, he has little patience for people that keep bothering him even after he's made it clear he wants to be left alone.
That said, there is a softer, warmer side to him. Despite the facade, he does care and tries to help people when he can. That same warmth can be seen when he's with his sleigh dogs: he's quite careful and kind to them, making sure they're well fed. He... also fell in love with someone, but he keeps this a secret: one he desperately doesn't want getting out. Because he fell for a human, and he fears the absolute mockery he'd have to put up with if any of the States [especially Cali] knew.

-Was first found and taken in by the Russians, Gaining the Russian Marking on his left hand.
-Was eventually taken in by the USA in 1867
-Although, many of the states ridiculed him for being the odd one out, kind of just "there", for a lack of better terms
-Gold was found in his state a few years later, adding some intrigue to his existence, and in turn allowing some of the others to warm up to him
-Eventually he was made a State in 1959, 47 years after the last mainland State [Arizona], became a state.
-Ended up freezing to death once, but was taken in and overseen by a girl and her family while he recovered.
Present Day
Due to dealing with isolation all the time, he's somewhat embraced it, and in turn doesn't bother any of the other States, and they don't bother him...for the most part.
Alongside that, he fell for and got together with some. A normal human, which he hides as a secret from the states to avoid ridicule.

Holly
His girl, and the one he loves with all his heart. He acts almost completely differently around her, being way more talkative and playful. Both can often be seen around town, participating in festivals and window shopping. They also fuck on occasion, but that's kind of a given with how close both are to each other. Although, he knows he'll outlive her due to what he is... he tries to not think about it often.
Nevada
Annoys him the most out of everyone, which says a lot when Cali's right there. The key difference however is Cali eventually backed off, realizing AK wanted personal space...NV never got the hint, or he simply didn't care. In short, Alki despises this fellow
Texas
Apparently, he intimidates this man? Not even sure how or why. Yeah sure he's notably bigger and stronger than him, but as far as AK's concerned, TX hasn't died as many times as him? Not to mention, he's not scared of bears...Whatever, at least he doesn't have to deal with TX all the time.
Colorado
Friends so far as both being into outdoor survival. Although Collin doesn't have as deep of an understanding when it comes to the tundra, he can at least relate to the isolation that comes from being out in the wild. Plus, given how Collin doesn't bother him, he's chill with him.
Wyoming
Kind of feels bad for the guy: He and Alki share that similar isolation from their peers, but he can tell it gets to WY a lot more than it gets AK himself. He does want to reassure WY, but doesn't entirely know how.
Rest of the 48
Doesn't interact with them, wouldn't know their struggles, and outside of a few states, he doesn't care too much. Has a bit of a chip on his shoulder over getting mocked for having next to nothing going for him when he was brought into the US, but he's not about to lash out at them over it.
TRIVIA
- Kind of scared of Bears...and Moose. In his defense, he's gotten killed by them on more than one occasion.
- Puerto Rico once wrote fanfiction about him, and named dropped his girl. This spooked him, and he asked sternly for her to destroy it.
- Would melt in temperatures higher than 60 degrees F. 30 F is more his forte.
