Reviving this thread! I honestly feel really bad about saying this, but I'm not a fan of Jack Stauber's songs. I tried to get into his music, but I just can't seem to like it. I'm just not into the whole "weirdcore" vibe or whatever you call it that his songs have. I think some of his songs aren't too bad, but they still aren't something that I enjoy listening to. The songs of his that I do slightly like are ones that I heard in animation memes years ago, and those don't even play the full songs, meaning that I only a like a specific part of those songs. The reason it makes me feel bad is because a lot of people on here have recommended his songs to me in some shape or form in the past, and no matter how many times I give his songs a chance, I find myself either getting bored or kind of uncomfortable. ;-; The only time I listen to his songs and slightly enjoy them is when I'm watching an animation meme, because then I'm listening to the specific parts of his songs that I do like, and even then, I don't always like every Jack Stauber song that I hear in an animation meme. There's maybe 2-3 animation memes at most using a Jack Stauber song that I can actually tolerate and slightly enjoy, and even then, animation memes are only a few seconds to a minute at most of the song.

big room house stopped being good once it became the mainstream sound for EDM. now the sound is so generic i dont feel anything but boredom listening to like, 90% of big room house music out there.

also people who still complain about the sound of dubstep in 2022 are annoying. yes we get it it sounds like [insert transformers joke here], shut up, im trying to have fun.

ig this is more of a peeve than anything.

tbh I don't judge people for listening to controversial artists esp. if they're doing it w/o supporting a la ad-blockers or 'alternative means' (+ i'd be a hypocrate, i'm trying to phase out certain artists from my playlists my self)

But for the love of god, PLEASE stop trying to scream to the world you listen to them. No one would judge you if you didn't. This bugs me personally ig because of being a breakcore fan i'm sick of people still promoting or screaming about certain controversial figures & keeping them the faces of breakcore. Not only is that gonna ward off people from wanting to check out the genre, that's also ignoring other artists in the scene

on that note, gonna gatekeep for a sec: Most of Sewerslvt's music doesn't count as breakcore, it's ambient with breaks ontop i'm not sorry. Stop keeping this MF as the face of "breakcore"

Some songs sound better censored

Daycore and reverbs being glorified and adored while nightcore is seen as cringy is really sad to see. Some songs do sound better pitched up and others sound terrible when slowed down.

Phonk all sounds samey, and yet, that's what makes it so good imo.

Not sure if I already posted about this before but if I did I'm sorry.

I can't stand trap beats at all. For me they're basically the musical equivalent of nails on a chalkboard and cause me to lose concentration on whatever I'm doing. This is especially a problem cause whenever there's a kid at school playing their Airpods way too loud, 99% of the time it's a song with a trap beat and I'm forced to put my own music in to drown it out.

Also some songs are good but then ruined for me because they have a trap beat in them. This is a good example (but eh, I don't like the chorus at all in general. anyway). Also Lofi Hip-hop is the worst thing to study to for me because again, it's hard for me to concentrate on anything when one of those beats is playing.

I don't even know exactly what it is that bugs me so much about trap beats. It's something about the repeated high-hat sound that just rubs my brain the wrong way, I guess. Anyway this is more of a self peeve than an opinion cause it seems like most people really love these beats and I can never escape them ;_; If you like trap beats I'm genuinely jealous of you.

Also niche one (considering the general music taste of Toyhouse) but I've only listened to the McCartney III Imagined version of Kiss Of Venus once and have vowed to never hear it again. Now I always see it as the song from III Imagined that people are praising? And it's already one of his top songs on Spotify? The original version of Kiss Of Venus was so good, too, and I only recall the III Imagined version as just feeling like a grossly modernized downgrade to me. Idk, I guess I just don't really care to listen to the entire III Imagined, anyway. I thought McCartney III was fine. Far from his best, but fine. And aside from that I've only heard the remixes of Long-Tailed Winter Bird and Find My Way and didn't care for them. Anyway don't kill me this is just my opinion.

Speaking of the chainsmokers the song closer should have been kept in the drafts, it was so annoying and the beat is too perky, yet it was overplayed to the point where I still hear the thing way too often. I prefer Paris honestly ;;

If you “don’t like rap” but then listen to eminem and nf, trust me, we all see through you. We know what your real issue with rap is.
