Iso's OC Question of the Day

Q1: Who was the first OC you made a profile for on Toyhouse? Why them?

Apparently it was Aluran! I guess he was just my favorite at the time. He's also the first one I made an actual proper profile for, too.

Q2. How do your OCs feel about the internet? If it doesn't exist in their universe, how would they feel if it did? What kind of sites do/would they go on?

I'll use my Valos here... it doesn't exist for them yet, but I've thought about it! I've even given Aluran and Teb blogs, haha.

• Aluran is very old timey and probably wouldn't like it at first, but caves after he realizes how easy it makes some things. He's very "middle aged mom on the internet" and would mostly use it to look at pretty nature pictures, hunting blogs, and soap recipes, and to talk to people. Also, minion memes.
• Teb just goes with the flow and would love the internet, honestly. He'd follow a ton of gardening/nature blogs, love stupid memes, and type like a 15 year old. Might post nudes for shits and giggles. Overshares all over the place. Porn.
• Pera doesn't use it often because he's truly an old fart, but when he does he does nothing but purposely rile people up and argue with them. HE TYPES LIKE THIS, BECAUSE PEOPLE TELL HIM IT SOUNDS LIKE HE'S YELLING. GOOD. Also definitely looks at porn.
• Trauta would stay nomadic throughout his entire lifetime and probably never use the internet, but if he did: cute animal blogs and fishing blogs. He doesn't have anything against technology, he just prefers to live this way... and he'd only have one arm and would find it frustrating.
• Nina embraces the internet and would run an Etsy shop of his jewelry creations and raw jewelry materials, probably also skulls and animal pelts. He types overly-cutesy and puts emoticons everywhere.
• Dolan seems to be confused over the idea of the internet and isn't saying anything.

Q3. Which of your OCs sleeps the most? Who's the hardest to wake up, if it's not the same person?

It's Teb. Definitely Teb. He is very lazy, but when he has a job going on he comes home exhausted and just sleeps. He's also the hardest to wake up but Nina is a close second, he could probably sleep through anything. Pera also sleeps a lot as he gets older but because of his lifestyle he's easy to wake up.

Q3. Which of your OCs sleeps the most? Who's the hardest to wake up, if it's not the same person?

Out of the characters I have on here, I'd say either Ulti or Arith sleep the most. It's not because they sleep a lot, they sleep relatively average, it's more that the other character I have here, Apoc Man, has trained himself to run on little sleep. 

As for who is the hardest to wake up, it's Arith. Again, she's just fairly average to wake up. the other two, Ulti and Apoc Man, are often alwys on alert, even when sleeping. They both wake up very easily due to their paranoia. Even Arith wakes up a little easy, sometimes, because she can also be classified as slightly paranoid.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling Claire would sleep the most. It's tiring stuff, baking. She needs to save up her energy so she can annoy everyone!

Jinx is definitely the hardest to wake up. She dreams a lot, and it's hard to get her out of those dreams. She could sleep through a lot of things. Except something trying to steal her peanut butter.

My darling Sean likely sleeps the most, since he's afflicted with the curse of sloth. Even before he was cursed though he was suffering from depression that often drained his energy and motivation to do much, so he spent a lot of time sleeping or just being a general couch potato. He could get away with it very easily since his family is rich, so he could get his attendants to do most tasks. After being cursed his laziness got even worse, to the point where he sleeps and loafs around so much he needs one of his friends to frequently check up on him to make sure he remembers to even get out of bed to eat or take his meds now that he's living on his own. He'd like to do more with himself, but he doesn't understand why he has almost no energy for anything. However, as difficult as it is to get him out of bed, he's about average to actually wake up. He'll just lay there inactive while awake unless you force him to get up somehow.

I'd say my dearest Volkmar is most difficult to wake up once he actually falls asleep. He tries to avoid sleeping as much as possible because devils are able to torment him in his dreams very easily. This of course makes him rather grumpy and unfocused most of the time from lack of sleep, and if he does manage to fall asleep without anything awful entering his dreams he tends to sleep for excessively long periods of time since he's so exhausted. During these times he sleeps like a total rock and pretty much nothing can wake him up unless his guardian devil wakes him up from within his dreams. He doesn't like how vulnerable this makes him either... just can't win, poor kid. ^^;

You know what I feel like doing to day? Just taking a really, really long shower. The kind of shower where you just stand there for like an hour, you know? The kind of excessively wasteful consumption of soothing warm water that's destroying the planet. Aww yeah, that's the stuff.

Q4. Which of your OCs is the cleanest? Who takes the longest showers/baths, if it's not the same person?

A lot of my OCs are some manner of weird species that doesn't sweat or otherwise get dirty (unless you push them into a mud puddle or something. you jerk.), so technically they would be the cleanest. Their god doesn't really want to watch them taking baths and brushing their teeth all the time when they could be murdering each other!! Otherwise, the answer would be Barazia. His appearance is important to him, but that aside he just likes relaxing in water for long periods of time since he's really just a big ol' sea snake at heart. And soul. And sometimes body. He likes his living spaces to be just as clean and pristine as he is, and any amount of clutter or filth repulses him.

The person who probably actually takes the longest showers is Bonnie, though. He just likes to stand there and lather his hair for 20 minutes, then rinse and repeat until either the water goes cold or someone yells at him to get out. Bonnie is no friend to the environment. Though his personal hygiene is pretty good (if irresponsible enough to make the Earth itself cry [if it had any more water to make tears with]), he doesn't beat out Barazia for cleanest overall because his living space is generally a mess. He's too lazy to clean anything except himself, and the only reason he cleans himself is because hot water feels nice and he has an unhealthy love for shampoo.

I know those types of showers. They help me think and calm down if I'm pissed or depressed.

Ulti and Arith both keep themselves pretty clean. Having fur and being in some form of action all the time makes them sweaty and dirty quite often, so both of them shower and groom themselves often. I guess it's a tie between them on who is cleanest. 

As for the longest showers, it's definitely Ulti. He finds that a shower is a good time to think on things, reflect on life's mysteries, and generally come up with really random ideas he can try out. His typical shower time is between 30 and 60 minutes, though there are exceptions where he'll be quicker or slower bout showering. I'd say there was one time where Arith had been in a shower longer than Ulti, and it was actually Ulti's fault. Ulti had decided to help Arith and her team on a mission to take out a terrorist cell that had made its base under a maple syrup factory. One mistimed C4 blast and a giant vat of the sweet, sticky syrup was dumped on Arith. Syrup and fur do not mix well. She spent a good half a day in the shower after that mission. The gun she was using at the time never worked properly, again, too.

Caelin is definitely the cleanest. His room on the ship is always spotless and organized. He can't stand getting a speck of dirt on his gems. Clara takes super long baths, I think. It helps her relax and think about why no one else thinks she's awesome.

My cleanest is likely my neat-freak baby, Caleb. Although I'm not quite done with his profile yet, he used to pride himself in keeping his appearance sharp and keeping his living space spotless. After becoming blind though, he's had more trouble with it, and it along with other factors have sent his stress levels through the roof. His older triplet brother tends to be a bit of a slob in the house, but he tries to keep his mess away from the main places Caleb goes, because once Caleb comes across a mess he might just have a meltdown since he doesn't know how big or extensive the mess is and once he does end up cleaning it he will second guess himself about missing a spot for days. Going blind has not been kind on his mental state, poor darling. ^^;

As for longest showers, definitely Nyfringe, man oh man you need to keep running water away from him. He loves the feeling of rain falling over him so much he will just sit there in this trance like state until the rain stops, even if that takes days or weeks. Do not let him get into a shower or he will run your water bill into the mesosphere and likely devour your soul if you try to get him out of it. Better idea would be to cut the water supply and run away before he finds out who did it. I really ought to draw him a fresh reference at some point...

ALURAN. Definitely, definitely Aluran. After being kept captive in his own filth for 6 months, he is obsessed with being clean. Teb takes long baths too because he gets dirty out in the garden and when working... and bathes with Aluran sometimes, wink wonk.

Dolan also bathes rather often because he's either out hunting, training, or standing in the sun all day.

Q5. Which of your OCs has the biggest sweet tooth?

Though Bonnie puts up a good fight out of the OCs I have up here, Charity wins this one! Her diet pretty much consists of gingerbread men and candy canes, and it's not just because she's gotta stay holiday-themed. She just really, really likes desserts. Maybe that's why she became so Christmas-themed in the first place...?
