T2 - DR - Deep Roots 2

The two little Loupines took utmost care to finding the most sick of the Wanderoots in the area around Firsden, knowing it was a dire situation that the Fauna were facing. Sugar sat carefully next to one that was nearly uprooted from their rotten roots, trying to give a comforting presence to them to let them know that they were here to help. Even Spice nuzzled some of the Wanderoots, his gremlin energy quelled for the time being. This was no place to run amok, and he was sure it would displease Rocky to be anything but gentle with them.

Kindle still stayed close to Rocky, both sharing a look of worry and concern on their faces. Rocky could feel it deep within his soul, if he didn’t help them now, many just wouldn’t make it. It was clear that the Ursuki had been working tirelessly with their own magic to help the grove, but they could use all the help they could get.

Kindle nudged Rocky with one of his pointed bare branches, his orange eyes looking up at his friend as if he were asking what they could possibly do.

The amount of helplessness that Rocky felt seemed to consume him before he instinctually reached down into the earth beneath his paws. He could feel his own magic grabbing at that of the world around him. Every rock, pebble, tree, shrub, blade of grass, even the crawling insects burrowing in the soil. Everything that bore even a hint of magic was desperately grabbed in an attempt to increase his own abilities.

Using the magic he gathered, he managed to heal the rotting roots below the helpless Wanderoots. He could feel the magic weaving into their very cells, forcing the ailment out of their little bodies.

Before long, Rocky collapsed to the ground next to Kindle, causing Sugar and Spice to look over in alarm. While the Wanderoots were noticeably improving by the second, poor Rocky was tuckered out.
