S24. What kind of sleeper is your lion? What position do they sleep in? How do they usually wake up? Are they a heavy or light sleeper? When do they usually sleep?

Aku always looks like the most brave and confident girl you could ever meet, but you can see her true feelings by the way she sleeps.

Her usual fierce and active attitude is nothing but a cover up for fear. She had to live alone, unwanted. For a while she had to struggle to survive and it took it’s toll on her. Her usual dreaming position involves her lying on her stomach with paws closely tucked by her sides and her muzzle flat on the ground. If her eyes weren’t closed one could think that she was on a hunt, unmoving and hidden while stalking prey. Her tail sometimes twitches as she dreams.

She prefers to sleep during the night and her sleep is rather light. She feels more confident during the night and from her experience it’s the day that most often brings troubles. That’s why it’s better to be awake to face them head on. She likes warm places. She’s used to sleeping alone in the cold, but it’s not her preferred way.

She never really learned to develop deeper connections with other lions and has trouble making friends and getting close to others. She’s usually seen napping a way away from the rest of the pride in a nook or a small cave where she can’t be sneaked up on. The most scared that anyone’s ever seen her is when Moe calls out to everyone to form a cuddle pile. Each time that happens Aku develops special abilities and disappears from sight faster than the blink of an eye.
