[ Part 1 ]

It was that time of the month again. Time to give the commander a report of the activities of the watch. Sen was on his way up the many flights of stairs to the very top of the dream hub, where the commander’s office was located. The journey could’ve been quick and easy if only he decided to take a lift, but he was being slow on purpose. Silently he was hoping that he’d never have to get there at all. It was like that every time. He always did his utmost hardest to find an excuse not to visit his superior. Usually he was able to send Revas in his place, since the young lion didn’t seemed to even like the commander and didn’t mind the responsibility. Sometimes he managed to convince Fantom to do it for him, but that was harder as Fan didn’t want to encourage Sen’s tendency to avoid his responsibilities. This time however, he was forced to go himself. Revas mentioned that the commander was asking about him, since they haven’t seen each other for a couple of months now. However, the real reason he had to do it was because everyone else was busy and it was impossible to find anyone to go in his place. As he took a deep sigh moving up the last storey, Revas called out his name.

- Revas! How good to see you!

- Hey, cap. I’ve been looking for you, I’m gonna need your help.

- By all means! Could you give this report to the commander and I’ll go take care of whatever you need?

Saved. He won’t have to worry about crossing that door until next month.

[ Part 2 ]

- No can do, cap.

Revas shook his head and Sen could feel himself deflating.

- But… why not - there was a hint of a plea in Sen’s voice.

- The information we received recently, it seems that things may be worse than we expected.

Sen’s ears perked up. He listened with interest because the information seemed important, but a part of him was also thinking that it might be an excuse to leave the commander’s office early.

- What’s the news?

- It appears that the fire set to the village up north wasn’t caused by nature or even an arsonist. Well, maybe an arsonist of sorts, but not one we’ve seen before. There’s talk of a huge beast with multiple heads. I’ll be out to investigate, I’m just waiting for a portal to be set up. I also asked for one to be opened to Marlevort’s world. Can you contact him? There’s noone else left at the headquarters, so I’ll leave it in your hands, cap.

Sen nodded.

- Ask Sia if she knows anything about it before you leave. And call Ejsza back from her patrol. I don’t want you going there alone if we don’t know what we’re dealing with.

- Got it - Revas saluted and run off back down the stairs towards the center of the hub.

Sen climbed the rest of the stairs and stopped for a second in front of the door. He did get the excuse he wanted, but it was probably going to be much worse than the report.
