'Official' Breeding Seasons

When pets are 'bred' together, the lab takes the DNA of the two critters and uses them to create a brand new pet! Unfortunately, proper chimeras between the species always seem to turn out extremely genetically unstable, so the resultant offspring will generally be one of the parent species at random.

During "Official Breeding Seasons", Blue and Star (and any other artists signed up to participate) will open some number of slots for breedings. Sometimes these will be free, sometimes these will have a small fee associated. Once you've chosen your donor pets and obtained a breeding slot, the number of offspring and species will be rolled for via RNG, and then your artist will color up the resultant offspring based upon the colors and markings of the parents!

Limited species CAN breed, but CANNOT result from breedings - so say you breed a Snoople and a Monark, 100% of the resultant offspring will be Snooples.

Breeding a Limited pet with another Limited pet requires the scientists to get a bit creative, as chimeras of those species don't usually survive. As such they apply what aesthetics they can salvage to any in-development pets they have on hand. The resultant offspring will therefore be a random Common, Uncommon, or Rare species (50/30/20 RNG for rarity, followed by RNG to determine specific species).

For the purposes of breeding, "unofficial" pet species may be used (ie any user-submitted species not listed in this thread), and will be considered Limited rarity - they can be used, but cannot result from the breeding.
