The Anima Adoption Asylum (AAA for short) is an RP World set in a modern 'real' world with a handful of fantasy races (like Elves and Dwarves), in which the biological sciences and some technologies are more well developed than they are in our world. Human/Animal and Human/Plant hybrid people known as Companions have been created by scientists (prior to the transition to Toyhouse there were approximately 900 Companions in total inhabiting AAA, to give an idea for population size), and must make their way in a world that still isn't quite sure these hybrid people are such a good idea.

AAA was originally a closed, growing/multi-stage unique art adoptable with a strong but small RP community centered around slice-of-life RP that existed on its own website and forum for almost 8 years. A lot has changed since then, including a move to Toyhouse, and Companions are no longer a closed species - now you don't even need art to create and roleplay a Companion, you can simply create them yourself and RP to your hearts' content! New Companions will need to be approved, but so long as they aren't magic and fit within the World, you should be fine (and if not, you're always welcome to RP them in the Alternate Universe section!)
