Weedy Sea Otters are happy, playful, fun-loving critters that range in size from 2-5 feet long. They are highly social, intelligent creatures, and if left alone or bored for long periods will develop severe problems associated with stress, such as behavioral ones like destroying furniture or overgrooming to the point of harm, or a litany of potential health problems. Moral of the story, don't leave them unattended for long!
WSOs are a mixture of Otters, Seaweed, and Leafy Seadragons. They have gills (difficult to see under the fur, but they're there!) and a respiratory system that allows them to breathe both water and air. So, while generally more at home in the water, these fun little fellows can also follow their owners out of the pool! Just make sure you let them go for a swim at least once a day.
These aquatic Familiars primarily eat fish and crustaceans, though thanks to the small degree of photosynthesis they are capable of, they don't require as much food as regular otters might.
