Rosents are low energy, hamster-sized creatures that especially enjoy sun bathing. They are not particularly mobile as they lack hind legs, but their beauty, size, and minimal care requirements make them good designer pets. They are quite delicate, however, and care must be taken when handling these small, mostly docile creatures. They do have small, very sharp teeth, and will bite if provoked or mishandled.

Rosents get most of their energy from water and sunlight, and most of their nutrients from eating dirt or soil. It is vitally important that a Rosent always have access to water - their petals lose moisture especially quickly, and a dehydrated Rosent can shrivel and die alarmingly fast.

Rosents have also historically been known as Rose Critters or Rose Creatures, and are usually released around Valentine's Day.
